Amazing shoot! I used to do storyboards for commercials and always found it fascinating how technical it all is.

Great video mate, would love to hear you chat through more of these big budget commercials. Would love to also hear about everything leading up to the shoot day: how did you land it, how did you go about selecting crew, how much time you had, how did you manage the budget, what did the collaboration with the director look like etc. I think you’ve made a great video here, but would love your thoughts on all the other mechanics of the ad

Impressive work. You and your team, dialed it in perfectly. Also quite impressive that this was only a 2 day shoot. The color-contrast of her clothes and the stonewalls was smart, and it looks superb. One thing I noticed was that the car always drove the same distance, but you sold it quite well with the different focal lenghts. But this is a minor complaint. You will make it far.

Thanks for sharing your bts from this shoot! What could have been helpful for the final lineup shot of the cars is to use car dollies so you can position the cars precisely much quicker. It takes a couple of hands to push but will save you a lot of time. Beautiful location overall. I think that's what really sells the car. A combination of elegance and grandeur. Is this your first car commercial or have you done a few before? How did you prove to the client that you were capable of shooting a car commercial "if" this was your first? Any advice you can give us on how to get an entry into this med to high tier of automobile commercial making? Thanks!

Thanks for the comment! Appreciate the kind words! We had a solid portfolio of work between myself and the director. I have not shot cars but the director has! So that helped getting it over the line with the brand. We had an 'In' with the creative agency that put us in direct contact with the brand which allowed us to pitch. We also over delivered by a mile! Invested money back into the project on top of the clients budget. This went towards gear and crew which greatly elevated the project. Although it was paid, we saw it as an investment to do more car work in the future. Hope this helps!

devastating to hear you had to put your own money into a car commercial of this caliber. are budgets truly just that abysmal now? this would have been a million dollar car commercial 15 years ago.
