I mam sure this is very useful to people. Thank you.We have the highest tax burden in 70 years and neither Labour nor the Tories are doing anything about it. People can choose not to have the pension sum taken off - so that is a voluntary deduction.

Yes - As H C said, this is split with my girlfriend. Also, I'm lucky enough to get subsidised breakfasts and lunches at the office so can save a lot there (many city law firms do these sorts of benefits).

UK - I did the LPC exam and, after that, a two-year training contract. US - I did the bar examination in New York, so I'm qualified there.
