How did you gain ability to do landscaping such as hard scape, retaining walls etc.? What jobs did you advertise when you first started the skid steer side? What will you be advertising to do with the Mini Ex. ?
@EntreprenuerDavis7 ай бұрын
I didn’t gain the ability to do landscaping and hardscaping I just closed the job and asked other professionals and watched KZbin videos to understand what I should exactly do and how it should look when finished. I used small lead platforms when I first started and Google and Facebook ads. I will be advertising clearing land with my mini ex and trench work also basic excavation like digging pools.

Love your content man, I currently own my own excavation business but have been working under a GC doing commercial municipal site work. Unfortunately I got screwed over and I haven’t had the need to purchase any of my own equipment working under them so I am now looking to get into more of the residential space just wondering if you have any suggestions for marketing to acquire jobs ect. Much appreciated!

Great story brother...stay blessed..... Im in my 60's and still working as a massage therapist however I have a love for excavators...lol...my family has been into construction in nyc big time....my older cousin was one of New Yorks top crane operators he has passed on and now his children also my cousins are into construction excavation and so on. Im thinking of changing my plans at this crazy age and buying a mini...whats you ideas of maybe sticking to one or two things that I can do with the machine instead of being all over the place just so I can make some income every month....for example tree stump removals small demos driveway removal....I really dont know but my passion is strong to learn and change things in my life.....and yes I will speak to my cousins....they're in the city but Im in upstate New York Hudson valley.....I know it's a crazy question...but anyhow!!! ....Amen!!!!!Stay safe!!!!
@EntreprenuerDavis7 ай бұрын
Aye man I would say go for it but make sure you get an enclosed cab because we only live once and I would recommend with a mini excavator you could really do any work but you want to focus on more skilled work you’ll make more money weather that be pond cleaning or digging for a company who does hardscaping because basic excavation isn’t what it used to be people are ruining the market by not charging the right prices but if you in a more skilled operating job then your going to for sure get paid handsomely but I love brush cutting at land clearing
@hudsonvalleyhealth97587 ай бұрын
@@EntreprenuerDavis awesome thanks for responding back!!! ...definately want that enclosed cab!!! Thanks for the tips!!!! do that vid on your health....if you like...it may save someone....could be me!!! Stay blessed....and I will always keep ya in my prayers when ya on my mind in prayer!!!!!

2 questions. How do i bid clearing land and how do i go about owning a skid steer??
@EntreprenuerDavis7 ай бұрын
1. It all depends on what the land looks like but have a base price for the work which is $1500 per acre which is my minimum to cover all my bases 2. Go to a dealership and finance one or buy from a private seller in cash.
@datrill10007 ай бұрын
That’s the part I don’t understand and not trying to get in ya biz but can you get paid from these KZbin videos or do you gotta have a ton of followers? Thank you so much for the transparency and you’re smart a/f too
@EntreprenuerDavis7 ай бұрын
Yeah I get paid for my KZbin videos all you need is 1,000 subscribe and 4000 watch hours to be monetized on KZbin but when it come to the amount of money you make it depends on your views

Hi Friend, I have a small tractor business but I'm always concerned about insurance and permits. Do you have any suggestions about those topics? I suspect the insurance companies will be different, but what kind of coverage would be right for digging, that's such a danger with fiber optic and gas lines.
@EntreprenuerDavis7 ай бұрын
I use Next Insurance they have me fully covered. Permits can be pulled at your local township depending on where you’re working at.

Thanks for the quick response, those are some big payments but if 0% then worth it + get to depreciate the equipment as a write off so pretty much get that benefit too. I am considering bobcat, did you check that brand out or why did you go with Kubota?
