My local buy nothing group is doing a Junk in the Trunk event this Saturday. We're meeting at a church parking lot and opening our trunks to give away all our stuff! It's a multi-city event (but was started by my city's group) So I'm getting a bunch of stuff together so I can give it away without having to post pictures and coordinate. I've seen people post their full SUV's in anticipation, and I am so thankful I don't have that much! It'll be interesting to see what others have, but I'm not trying to bring in more stuff, unless I really really want it.

When I lived in a larger residence, I loved to yard sale. I would buy gift bags and wrapping paper and store them, @ $0.10 for bags and $0.50 for rolls it was a big savings. I’m great at organizing, the downside of that is accumulating a lot of compacted, organized stuff. No more yard sales and I’m giving away the majority.

Decluttering together can get you motivated and moving especially if it’s overwhelming. 6 bags sounds overwhelming.

I just decluttered so many bras! I hung on to them because I hate bra shopping but I'm getting honest with myself and realizing that I need to start over. It might be time to replace all my underwear too because I recently heard that should be done yearly! 😳

That's great! I've definitely been there before. Sometimes it's nice to start all over and it's a refreshing feeling too!

I had a kindle about 10+ ears ago. When it came time to upgrade I choose to download the kindle app on my phone and iPad. I love the apps there and never got another kindle. I love books you hold also and since we occasionally lose electricity/internet service, I like to reread my favorite books then. I am an avid reader. I also use the library. So I read a book from the library but rarely add to my personal library.

Hi Mariela! Was the bag in your carry on? Or was it a checked bag? The only thing I can think of is if it was a checked bag the heat under the plane may have melted it. The material looks like it may have gotten wet but you said no liquids were inside. Sorry to hear your favorite bag was ruined! Hope you had a great time at NOLA!

If a bag is old and not properly stored, it will peel like that. And when you go back to use it, it will start falling apart. I know from personal experience 😫.
