I’m fifteen and I do it cus I have social anxiety and alllooot of stress like and other fifteen yo so my nails are terrible but I’m deciding to not do it anymore

I had short bitten nails my whole life; i started biting at the age of 5 and found out it was a coping mechanism because my father ab***d me. The only way i was able to stop is to get my nails done or do them myself. You have to keep up and do them once a week. Builder gel helps immensely.

This really speaks to me cuz I've had the same experience, except it was an older cousin and I was two

I started biting my nails when I was 4, and I'm 13 now. I picked up this habit from my mom. I also get the urge to bite just the white part of the nails. I began growing my nails on June 13, 2024, thinking they would grow longer. I did manage to stop myself from biting them, but because I bit them a lot when I was young and my nail beds were still developing, my nails now stand up because of the small nail beds. Any tips, please?

I have tried almost everything to stop biting my nails. The older I got, the worse it would get. Almost gave up until recently. There was a moment in time when I realized how important it is to love ourselves. Not in an ego, vanity way, but the same love you have for others close to you. If we don't love ourselves first, it's almost impossible to Fully love anyone else. Whenever I feel the need to bite my nails, I'm reminded that I'm Not loving myself...

i started biting my nails whenever i was hungry as a kid and it ended up forming into a habit. i wanted to have pretty long nails and actually decided to do something about it, i only decided this after i wore a nail polish that had a strong scent when i put it near my face and it deterred me from biting them.

I have a very bad habit of biting my nails and I know that fake nails are not good for your nails but it helps me from biting my nails now I haven’t bit my nails in almost 3 weeks and also the nails I buy from Walmart do not get them done at a nail salon it destroys your nails worse than any fake nail from the Walmart or the dollar store or whatever
