Yes! For my pre reqs I purchased all e book PDF versions on my textbooks from Chegg or Amazon and then uploaded them to Google Drive like I would normally I upload a file. From there you can download the book from Google Drive to the iPad!

I have notability and have had it for about a year or so, and I can say it has changed the game for me. I love recording lectures, especially exam reviews; split screen w my textbooks or homework pages; and easy upload to onedrive, which makes it super easy share among classmates. @@dulcgarc Unfortunately I've only had it for a couple of days and my semester is just about done, so I can't give you my experience with taking notes in class. However, I ended up buying Good Notes 5 to rewrite some of my old notes and it's something that I still need to get used to. I like the feel of writing in a notebook so writing on a tablet feels like I'm learning how to write all over again. I'm also a bit of a perfectionist, so it's frustrating when I see my handwriting look so ugly. Once I finally adjust to using the iPad, then I feel like I'll be able to take full advantage of what it has to offer, but until then, to me, it's nothing really special... at the moment. With that being said, I am enjoying it. I think the split screen view is extremely useful and I like how creative you can get with the notes. It's also nice that you can have all of your notebooks and textbooks in one lightweight device and can search up any words youre looking for without the hassle of frantically searching in a paper notebook. The battery seems to last a while and should definitelyget you through a days worth of classes, but the downside is that it takes a few hours to charge from 0-100%. I also bought a 3rd party stylus on Amazon for $30 (because the Apple Pencil is just too expensive in my opinion) and I've had no issues with how it performs. I'm sorry I can't give you a full hands on review of the product, but hopefully this helps out a bit

I see what you mean about it being hard to adjust to writing on an iPad instead of paper because the same thing happened to me and it’s still something that I struggle with sometimes but once you get used to it I feel like the iPad can make things easier as a student. I have to say my favorite thing has been getting organized with it because all of my notes are in one place and when I had notebooks full of notes, I was just a mess because my papers would be all over the place and I’d lose everything at the end of the semester. I hope it gets easier and you like it more as the semester goes on! Google User if you’re having issues with adjusting to writing on the screen they have matte screen protectors that feel like paper when you draw on it! The best ones are from paper-like but you can find good dupes on amazon:)

I would prioritize getting the MacBook or a laptop like the Microsoft Surface. That's the one I use and it's been great for creating presentations, writing papers and I even edit my videos on it. You can also get the iPad to take notes and maybe buy a keyboard for it to type out essays, but it's a little time consuming to make presentations on it. So I would definitely reccomend getting the laptop first and then getting the iPad after if you're able to 😊

Yes, I get them from Chegg and Amazon! Not sure how to get the pdf textbooks from Kindle to Goodnotes though 🤔 when it's a textbook like that, I read it off of the Kindle app on my iPad

Have you tried copying it to books on iPad then downloading it to GoodNotes? Or using GoodNotes and books in split screen. I have both the books and kindle app on my iPad but I primarily use books app for textbooks/ PDFs I download. Although I have GoodNotes, I haven’t loaded a textbook into the app so I’m not sure if this will help you.

Mansi Patel I have a similar iPad and Apple pencil case and no it doesn’t. Although, i do find that using the pencil without a case isn’t very uncomfortable so if you’re planning and getting an iPad and Apple pencil, maybe skip the apple pencil case

I am still wondering which one is more suitable for me between the 128GB version vs 32GB of 6th generation IPAD 2018 9.7" when I mostly use IPAD for taking notes or saving some important documents or downloading some favourite books? Go for the more affordable option (perhaps 64gb) and buy extra iCloud storage. I have the iPad Pro 1st generation and I pay 2.99 per month for extra iCloud storage ( 200gb which I have ton of space left; probably could have gotten a smaller plan).

Depends on what you’re doing. I’m in 8th grade and I really struggled to convince my teachers I‘m ready for doing my school stuff digitally. I got the iPad to take notes, print them and learn them and my grades have improved extremely. I would totally recommend the iPad because it’s just better to carry around and I personally don’t like doing school work on a MacBook (my father has one and I tried it out. It really sucks lol). I hope I changed your mind. (Sorry for my bad English btw I’m German 🥺)

Love your videos!!! I also have the 6th generation iPad and I bought a matte screen protector for it (not from paperlike) although the writing experience is great, it blurs the text and the lines...there’s just no definition! Hurts my eyes and all And I always wondered if that was because of this specific screen protector or if it was just because of my 6th gen iPad not having a laminated screen (like the iPad pros that I saw reviewing paperlike) Could you please help me out? The screen protector might be made out of material that's too thick and that might be why the text is getting blurred 😕 The paperlike screen protector is matte too, but it's thin so it doesn't blur anything on the screen and the display looks great with it on! I love the case and pencil grip! I've head them for a few months now and they haven't gotten dirty or anything so I feel like it'll last me a while. And the grip case doesn't fit inside the pencil slot of the iPad case, unfortunately. If you want to keep it inside of the iPad case, you'll have the to take the grip case off of the pencil.

When you’re writing with the Apple pencil and your hands or fingers touch the screen doesn’t it move, like the screen? How does that work?

I think the screen only detects the Apple Pencil (prob from the app settings)

only gestures (pinch out/in, swipes, dragging) with fingers are recognized. A lot of apps (good notes included) allow you to pick your writing position to make sure that the palm isn’t picked up.

I am trying soo hard to go paperless. I have been using my ipad and apple pen and every time I use it my text disappears. I have to hold my hand completely over the ipad and not touch it and it just makes it awkward.

Nicole Dawn i know there’s an option to stop that! You just go to settings and there should be an option so that the only thing that affects what you’re writing is the apple pen and not your hand😅

Destiny Fernandez I would say that now in nursing school, I only need to print out 10% of things like papers that need to be signed and turned in but the other 90% are mainly notes that I keep on the iPad and don’t have to print into binders or anything 😊 when I was taking pre-reqs in this video my professors required us to print stuff out and physically bring it to class.

az I bought my pen and keyboard from Amazon which was less than $100. Both products work exceptionally well. Don’t fall into the trap of buying every single Apple accessory. Trust me, there are great alternatives available online.

I'm not sure whether you have brought an iPad or not, but if you haven't still, let me try to help you out - iPad 8th Gen + Apple Pencil in UK pricing it comes to £429 (that's if you go for the base model, 32GB wifi only), but my recommendation for getting the budget iPad is the one with 128GB wifi only and then you'd only play £529. Now there are alternatives for the accessories, i.e. you can get a Logitech crayon which in the UK it's like £30 less than the Apple Pencil. But I would suggest getting the Apple Pencil, since, to me, I find it works extremely seamless and it has pressure sensitivity, now that feature of sensitivity is dependent on what you want to use your iPad for. - iPad Air 4 + Apple Pencil 2 comes to £708, again that's under the base configuration, which it's 64GB, wifi only. - iPad Pro 11 inch + Apple Pencil 2 comes to £898, again that's the base variant, which it's 128GB, wifi only. Again, what you'll need to consider is your budget, what you need out of an iPad, as in do you want something as an accompaniment or something to be a laptop replacement and what are you going to use your iPad for. I hope that helps, even though it's 7 months later ahaaa :)
