Hey Zak, my fiancé and I are wondering if you have ever considered making some longer video? We love your content but always find ourselves a little disappointment by how brief they are. Especially since you only release one (occasionally two) per week. We are solid fans, we have purchased both your books, are using your 30 day perfect pup, have signed up for Pupford and Barkbox, and overall just adore you. We just would really love to have some more in depth/longer videos to enjoy after waiting a week for your content. I hope this is something you will consider.

Someone with a Puppy with severe separation anxiety like mine at 1 year old. Do this. 1. Play with your dog or puppy for at least a half hour running around a lot. 2 make sure you give the dog plenty of water and take it out before you leave. 3.Most importantly if you only have 1 dog.... Get CBD Dog Treats. Hands down helps with their anxiety and will fall asleep majority of the day. 4. Each week lower the dosage of the treats until you don't need it anymore or unless needed. Hope this helps... It helped us

Use Leerburg if you want a well behaved dog. Positive only, like what Zak George does is a big lie! It results in aggressive, or reactive behaviors and will make your dog insecure. Positive reinforcement is great for teaching a new puppy, but they also need structure and discipline to understand how to behave in the real world.
@zoeflorence4 жыл бұрын
@@malinataylor9184 i mean u got a point but ESPECIALLY when the dog really young scolding and disciplining can make the puppy very insecure which also can result in aggressive behavior. So id suggest to train with only positive reinforcement in the first weeks so that ur puppy can built trust and learn that "working" for the owner pays off. Of course within time your dog also needs to learn bounderies. Therefore it helps to establish certain house rules BEFORE the puppy gets brought in the household. Also dog training is a lot of intuition which you will learn overtime. Dog training isnt black and white and you will get to know your dog and get a feeling for what reaction of you is appropriate in the respective situations. What I'm trying to say is YES you need to set boundaries for your dog and YES a bit of discipline is necessary but in the first weeks you should just concentrate on potty training (which will work very well with positive reinforcement only and scolding your dog for having accidents will only make matters worse), forming a bond with your puppy, building trust and showing ur dog that being a good boy/girl pays off ;)

I said in another video that I re-homed a little girl of 5 last week. Her genetics are a little bit of everything, but mostly, she is the crazy doggo at the start!! 😁 I went out for an hour today & she had torn the rubbish bag open & it was everywhere & I left the press where I keep shopping bags & her's & my rescue cats food & treats. She had dragged the food bags out & I'm sure she had a good go & getting them open. I need this video, BAD 😁

This entire series has been great so far! I actually ordered your book first and from there ended up watching all the videos and ordering your second book. I am so happy to have found resources that mirror my own belief that dogs needs love and care not punishment. We are getting a new puppy tomorrow and I have gotten so many new ideas. It has also been great for my younger children who do not remember the last family dog and the older one has been super engaged and curious.

@Natalie Wainwright I'll check it out. Robert Capral seems to follow the same beliefs as my dad. I will check out the suggested people though and see what more I can learn.

So i have a thingy, my girlfriend and I bought our dog in may, shes 6 months old now and when she was a puppy she stayed in her bench when we werent home and was sleeping. Now after 5 months, 2 weeks of quarantaine, a dispute between my cousin and her mother (which resulted in her living 2 weeks in our house) and my wife having 2 weeks of backproblems the dog needed to stay alone again, which resulted in her barking like crazy.. We got some help from trainers and most stuff didnt work, but today it looked like we had a breakthrough, we decided to not put the dog in her bench thus roaming through the living room. This went very well till 10 o clock when my wife came home from work and went for a walk with her, after that she started barking like crazy again for 2 hours (wife home again) and then 2 hours until i came home. Now i realise training takes time, like with everything, but our neighboors keep complaining of the ammount of noise our dog makes. What should we do to keep her feeling co.fortable being home alone cuz we go crazy the last 2 days of the complaints

It is more of a personal preference whether or not he is allowed on the chair, but when it comes to possession, start building boundaries with the chair at a young age, such as only getting on the chair with your permission, and getting off the chair when you ask him to.
