My husband brought me a Pomeranian puppy she's 13 weeks old now. And a very fast learner. She was never put a collar and Leash, We hooked her up and walked will know problems. I'm in a power wheelchair and she loves being in my lap or my basket on my scooter. We're trying to train her and to be my mental and physical therapy dog. Thank you for all the great ideas. We have never had a Pomeranian puppy.

I have a Pomeranian same color as yours. My cuite will be 12 years old in September. They are big dogs in a little body and they are so smart I’m sometimes very surprised how well he understands when I talk to him. I love h very much and they are wonderful companies I would never trade him for anything in the world. We are very close good friends. 4:36 and she's off lol and then running off in the background at 1:50!!! She's hilarious!!! One trick I found that works with my dog when I want her to come and she won't is to say "Bye" followed by her name. She understands that when we as humans say 'bye' to each other it means we won't see each other so she's learned to come when we say it. Just thought I'd share. Pepi is super super cute!

@@MrsKatieHeath Thank you! Your videos are so beneficial! I usually struggle with teaching the pups, because our grown female dog keeps having litter after litter. We usually never keep the dogs, we sell them. After I watched your video, I showed my parents she knew how to sit, lay down, etc. They let me keep her! Thanks to you! xx (One thing she is struggling with right now is potty training. We have a doggy door, and she knows how to use it, but she doesn't quite understand that she needs to go out there when actually going potty.

Thank you so much for watching! I had the ambition to be able to walk Pepi off the lead the whole time. I think she would be absolutely fine, but the issue is when it's really busy in London, I wouldn't want her walking on the road or something to avoid crowds! I also find that because she's so small, sometimes people don't see her immediately, but they always see the lead and follow it down (lol!) It's also really handy for her to be comfortable on the lead in areas/parks that only allow dogs on leads. If you live somewhere where there's never a need for a lead then that's AMAZING! If you do feel you want to start using a lead though, try having someone hold the lead and calling your puppy to you with a treat, so he starts to get used to it and even get excited about it! I remember Pepi really didn't like it for a while and still wrestles it sometimes (she's 1.5 years old now!), but it is a good safety back up - especially at about six months when they start to get super playful and a bit more hyper! Enjoy your lovely puppy! x

IamAralee the best way to train them not to run away is to keep treats with you and recall every so often but DONT overcall. I saw someone train their pup to stand between their legs the other day which looked super useful, so I think I might try that with Pepi and then share how I did it! X

I have a little pom named Ruby, and she's only 12 weeks old! We got her from Pennsylvania in amish country so she's never been trained. The breeders let her roam free in their backyard with her siblings, Joy (little sister, teacup pom) Julie (Older sister, pom) Russell (same age brother, pom) and Brownie (little brother, pom) they knew to never leave home. They stayed with their mom and dad, Darla (Ruby's mom, pom lol "THE MOM-POM!!!! XD) and Tippy (Ruby's dad, dad-pom heh..not as funny..) Anyways, I just hope this video will help with house training her, and teaching tricks! Thanks for the video!

Sooo cute. I do the same with my labs when they are off leash and I see people coming they want to run to the people and I run the opposite way it gets their attention and they get worried and concerned. Because some people don’t like dogs off leash because they wouldn’t know how it would feel to be dragged on a lead all day. And can’t see the nuture further out there. Great training tips. My sister has a Eskipom.

awww eskipom is such a cute mix! One day we'll get labs too when we have a bigger house. I meet people all the time that don't let their dog off the lead because their recall is poor or they are worried the dog will run away but they've almost become happy to just keep their dog on a lead. If they just spent a few mins each day training, they would see a change in literally just a week! x

I’ve seen its not the best to continuously repeat a command, just say it once or twice max and allow them some time to think and do etc. and that way if u repeat something a lot. They don’t learn to ignore it whenever they feel like it. But awesome jobb thoo!!! I’ve tbh never seen small dogs be trained like this.

These are the tricks I taught my all black Pomeranian: - Sit - Stay - Wait (to come inside the house) - Get in (as in get in the car, I'm a car guy and I drive a 2018 Camaro ZL1, and its so bad ass when I go to car meets and she jumps in and out of my car when told to do so) - Down (lay down) - Wait (as in for her food. Or a treat) - Roll over - Heel / Walk Slow (I'm a big of a bigger guy (more bulk than fat but still) so I'm not much of a runner, so when my dog tries to pull me I pull her and make her walk slower) - Shhhh (sometimes. Since my area isn't the nicest, ill hear a weird noise. So as I get my gun out to investigate, I do a shhh motion and she stays quiet as she quietly follows me to investigate, thank God I haven't found anything, no robbers, etc. But hey you can never be too safe) - Cuddle (she basically learned how to cuddle, I don't have a specific word for this she just cuddles up on me in my bed when I get home from work as I lay down in my bed or couch, she also does this with my wife when I'm at work) - potty trained (she poops and pees in the yard, no leash required but I take her on one anyways)
