According to your stats this is your 200th video. That’s incredible for less a year. You’re the hardest working content creator I follow and no doubt you’re going to be very successful at this. Thanks for the deep dive into your life.

Rooting for you man. I admire your hard work ethic. You have very quickly become one of my favorite disc golf KZbinrs because I enjoy that you know what you know and are honest about what you think on things. Also, keep it up with those edits. I really wish more disc golf KZbinrs did things during their rounds like highlighting the basket, highlighting the intended route before the shot, and doing the physical indicators on the screen when the disc is hard to see. You do a GREAT job making your content feel down to earth accessible while still also showing us what areas you have gained expertise in and having respectable and helpful opinions for a lot of our own games. I’ve learned a lot watching your journey!

You've crushed many dreams by not just "saying hop in the van and play disc golf." Guess I'll open up my laptop and see what's up with work. Seriously though this transparency makes a big difference in perception and it also retroactively explains a whole lot of little stuff in how your work is structured. I'm willing to bet your retention on individual videos is through the roof. There's definitely a business model difference in "I am a disc golfer who happens to create content" and "I'm a disc golf content creator."

This video just blew my mind. I've been waiting for a content gear reveal from you for a while and you have even responded to me saying you will do one, and here we are. I thought this entire "Disc Golf" journey was a lot simpler than what you have told us. This entire journey is very complex, and I had no idea the amount of knowledge you have when it comes to finances etc. This video is very inspiring, but I have one question which you didn't touch on, how long does it take you to edit and release a video onto your channel on average? This is excluding shorts of course. Thanks, Bodanza!
@BodanzaDiscGolf
@BodanzaDiscGolf 2 жыл бұрын
my edit times are around 3 hours average, but this is after 3-4 years editing and having an asset library and preset catalogue that I use. If I was to pay someone to edit the videos the same that I do, even with decent editing experience, I'd expect 5-8 hours until they learn the intricacies and how I do the little things

You keep blowing my mind on how good the videos are for how small of a channel you are at this point. It's incredible, and only picking up disc golf in January?? That is just incredible man. You seem like such a down to earth guy. Keep pushing man I have no doubt that you can make it big not only on KZbin, but in disc golf too. When you make it to Michigan, definitely play Flip City. Great course, awesome owner

man, I wish I had your energy to shoot as many videoes and be able to pump them out at the same rate.. aand in the production quality. You are right about money not comiong from discolf and not locking yourself down with a sponsorship (at least at this point) as a content creator.. it's important to be able to say that you're independent when doing reviews, if manufactureres offer you products for reviews. One day, you should come to Europe and maynbe play the European Pro Tour. The competition is super hard over here too and we are doing livestreaming too now :) (Being a DG content creator in a country with only 5 million people speaking danish, it's hard to grow beyong the current 1400-something subscribers I currently have, but fortunately I am getting more involved in bigger media production for other content creators too, which is also fun and super engaging).

Caravans are very rare over there unless they are massive and almost "permanently" stationed I guess? Else that would make you more flexible/fuel efficient when you've reached the "destination for the week" and it is already made for actually living in and thereby more able to add solar panels on top and such. Here over in Europe, especially northern/scandinavia caravans are not at all rare. Also if a car and its engine it broken a borrowed/hired/cheap older car for a short while is a solution to not get stuck, setting up the caravan for living. =)
