In times like these we need convert our wasteful lawns and backyards to permaculture food forest gardens landscapes with perennial drought and heat tolerant plants to provide food year long for our family, friends and neighbors. It’s healthy and better for us mentality/physically and the environment. You will get your vitamins C from the food you grown and vitamin D from the sun. :)

Different planets. Yes! I believe that is the intent of the urbanization movement. Western world nor the United Nations encourage resourcefulness or small sustainable farming. We should perhaps ask ourselves why the manipulation to believe farming the way we do in North America is okay? Or why food should be produced on large farms?

Remember that Uganda is a tropical rain country unlike Namibia where water and land tax are very expensive... I am not negative but we must be real.. how can u even talk of aquaculture when yr tapes are not running with water coz it was cut coz of outstanding payment... But now they will rather cut electricity for the same reason....

You don't need TEDx to get your message across. Schools and homes are responsible for that. When we get older, televisions, social media in this generation can help. This will inspire people but if they had been given this information at a young age, they would most certainly practice it. If train the children to like your products, you have customers for life. I believe the Macdonalds group said that or some big company because they will also teach their children to like Macdonalds too.

What is more amazing, that most people here are surprised how resourceful humans can become? All of these techniques have been around for decades. And the general principles for lifetimes. It's called farming. Perhaps what we should be discussing more of..... Why in the World is the western world and the United Nations encouraging more and more urbanization and not more small farm sustainability?

I can only say thank you LORD for such divine wisdom. I am 6 months in farming and I can see a lot of potential by putting all I can go it. Just a week ago I sub divided a 5 acre farm into 72 blocks of 50×50 after getting losses on a 5 acre tomatoes farming. Jane from kitengela Kenya
