Lillian Kruger you give me hope... I'm 35, left my job a year ago because I just couldn't be in that environment a second longer, and now I am completely lost, in full panic mode. Being in the corporate world for 15 years has drained me and left me with this "holy hell, who the hell am I?" void. Yet, leaving that world made me feel like I was actually taking control of my own life for once; it was intensely exhilarating & unnerving at the same time. Here's hoping it really does work out in the end 🤞🏽

The part of this that really inspired me was when you talk about everyone having their own land, and to try focusing on what you can bulid with your land rather than being envious of what someone else is doing with theirs. This description of one's own land with their own resources and own style, not limited resources or matching styles, gave me a visual I can use for daily motivation. Thank you!

Thank you for this video. Someone once said to me that if your ship doesn't come in, swim out to it. Stop expecting things to come to you. Working for it makes everything much more worthwhile. We need more of these videos from Lydia. I've been on the fence about her for a while and find her much more relatable when she openly shares in this way. I realize it's hard to be fully authentic on social media as negativity can make you retreat and not want to share, but this is likely some of her best stuff. I hope she finds the confidence and strength to do more of these.

Firstly, you can't pour from an empty cup. Second, If you don't think you're worth spending your own time to make " you" happy why do you think anyone would think you are worth spending their time to make you happy? I think that as I've got older and grown up I've become more aware of everything. Like being grateful for the little things, I'm very grateful now but as a teen I literally didn't care about the things I do now. This video came at such a proper time for me!! I just watched the minimalism documentary and learned a few things in my last psychology class and I can't believe how stuck I was in the consumerism world!! A lot of us grew up with commercials and a huge media influence telling us we need certain things to be happy, but according to the 75 year study by Harvard uni and a similar one by Boston uni, the key to happiness is having strong, intimate relationships with loved ones :) things have got into perspective for me now and thanks for being a huge influence and sharing the message 💛💛

Lydia, I subscribed to your channel a week ago, not because I love designer shoes/bags/clothes. TBH, I don't have designer shoes/bags/clothes in my wardrobe (well, I have a Coach wallet lol, does that count??) but because I see the similarities that we both share: workout, makeup, skincare, the way we save money, mindset and etc. I watch your shopping videos, I enjoy them, and then I go on with my life because I have different goals than yours. I too, have come a long way to where I am now. Honestly, having your own goals, staying positive and not comparing myself with others are what helped me get through the rock bottom 8 years ago. Keep up the good work Lydia!! xoxo

Beautiful Lydia, thank you for this wave of what I needed. I'm in this big dark tornado where I hate my office job for my city, it sucks, it's boring from monday to friday 9 to 5 I pay bills for the city. I so unhappy since 5 years now. So many people telling me nah you can't leave you have a job that pays you so do it and don't complain but it is depressing and a real burden that my health got affected with zona & anxiety. I have stability and nice pay checks but ugh I just can't anymore. I'm just a passionate, over the top like you, creative woman that lives for fashion & my famille. This year, I'll turn 27 and I decided that I'm gonna work my ass off to wake up every morning doing what I love dearly with my heart & soul. I don't care anymore about these negative comments on fashion industry. I'm just done pretending being ok because it might be a dream job for some, but NOT FOR ME. I'm gonna finish my University certificate and I will start the fashion business program I've been dreaming of for too long now. I am so excited and so happy to know that I can finally be who I am and do what I love, that it almost feel like a coming out you know I didn't want to disappoint my parents & hear people's degrading what I love the most. Finally .. when they realized where I was mentally, so tired and no more energy or motivation (which is anormal cause I'm an over the top girl) they finally understood that the government is not for every human being and they encouraged me on the path of MY happiness. All of this to say thank you for putting light in this dark not so dark anymore kind of place I was, since I watch you for a while and you helped me a lot through this even though you don't know me :) I can say that I love you cause you've been part of that process and I look up to positive hard worked women like you. Keep spreading love and joy around you, you can change people's lives without realizing!! I will start back my KZbin channel I abandoned cause work took that motivation I had. I must be one in a thousands, but ya truly, thank you :) xx Sofia from Montreal/Canada : sofashion_mtl

Love seeing this side to you Lydia! We have a lot in common in the way we think. For the last 4 years, every night I write down at least 3 things that were positive or good about my day. When I began, I really struggled to think of 3 (which is crazy considering the fact I was sat with a roof over my head was 1 in itself) but now I can fill a page without hesitation. It's also so important to know when to cut toxic ties with people, sometimes you need to let go of someone to save yourself. X

You get out of life what you put into it. If you put nothing in, you get nothing out but that's with anything. Time will pass no matter if your sitting on your ass or if you're striving to make a better life for yourself. I like that you accomplished a lot in one year. I think everyone starting out should work their ass off and look back that first year and say, Wow, if I can do all that in a year think what I can accomplish in 5 yrs and set some goals. Don't let anyone slow you down or discourage you.

Your realness, positivity, enthusiasm, productivity, and creativity! I can't tell you how much it has helped me now. & Omg this videos! Perfect! I know you may not read this since it's been so long, but I truly want to Thank You Very Much Lydia. I wish you all the very best xx

You're a genuine and down to earth person whether you're talking about bags or discussing these more personal reflections about yourself and your life. I love watching these relaxed and reflective videos because we all relate in some way or another to your struggles and success, and it's so great to interact with you on this level 😊 Wishing you all the best xx

I can SO relate to everything you said! Especially the "I spent a lot of time in bed"- part. I have been there and the more we have the courage to talk about these things(our past) the more people we meet who have gone trough the same. It feels so good to share and maybe change even only one person's life! You're a wonderful human being and worked hard to get the life you imagined (and even more). With all the jealousy and the hate, we always should remind ourselves of the fact that people always (re)act within their own mental and emotional (like in emotional intelligence) capacities. And some just aren't as blessed with this as others. All the best wishes from Germany. xo

I'm 19 and this video really did help. I had so many pals when I left school but know I hardly don't talk to no one, I don't have friends because I feel like no one likes me at all, as hard as I try to make friends I just can't, I look at other people friendships and I wish that was me. I focus more on life goals then friends and that's what I feel like I'm doing wrong. But amazing video Lydia really helped x

Paige Shergold focusing more on life goals than friends is not wrong at all. I understand you get lonely sometimes, but you're better off the way you are. Trust me.

how old are you? I feel like I am too old for my master's, need motivation :)
@sandy-ke1kr7 жыл бұрын
You are not too old for your Master's. Learning and growing is not just for the young. Is your Master's and opportunity to grow or just a piece of paper? I hope it's a growing opportunity and that is not limited by your age. Why limit yourself? If this is what you want, then go for it. Lots of people get their degrees when they are old. No excuses. Go for it.

i am about to turn 35. i have totally started thinking exactly like you. i'm a professional woman, so I have accomplished a lot, but that was in my 20s. In my 30s, i got into a job, got into a slump, making great money that I appreciate a lot, but i found that i was gaining weight, not taking care of myself, and NOT COMPLETING THINGS (ie, I paid for and started metalsmithing, blog writing, fitness training, and painting classes, ALL of which i just stopped going to). So, up until my summer birthday of this year, I have decided that I will COMPLETE things that I start, TAKE CONTROL of my health and fitness, and develop positive attitude-building habits. Thank you SO MUCH for sharing.

Found your videos yesterday and have watched/listened to several now. Thank you, love this one! My life is so full of negativity, a lot of it self inflicted. I'm much older than you, 60, and still trying to figure out some of this. Your amazing already, think of how amazing you will be at my age!!! Thank you for your inspiring words.

I love your enthusiasm for small things and big things alike! It's something that I began doing when I started doing a gratitude diary - every night for the past 5 or 6 years I have written down 5 things that I'm grateful for that day and it's changed my mindset completely! Such a positive video - love it! 😘

Lydia, you are lovely. I am probably old enough to be your grandmother, but I have thought like you do and it definitely works. You have to be authentic and true to yourself, it doesn't always win you friends but the ones that do become friends are for a lifetime. This way of thinking also makes you beautiful inside and out. I don't know how I found you but I am glad I did. xxx

Thank you SO MUCH Lydia for this video ! Being myself a blogger and you tubber since ages (we were in Marrakech together in september with Clinique ;-), what you say here is very interesting and could actually be life changing for me. I'm not kidding. You are so mature for your young age (I allow myself to say that as I'm 20 years more than you ;-), I'm very impressed and admirative. Really, thank you for what you share here, you might have no idea how much it can touch peopele. Thanks again.
