The Kanban board system was originally created by Toyota to allow them to compete with US model cars.
We know how that worked for them.
I've taken the Kanban model and put the Jon Benson spin on it.
It helps me keep on track with all my projects/tasks and now it can do the same for you.

Thanks Sam! I tried all the digital versions. Something about the old school approach is what worked for me. Didn't stick to anything else. I'm doing another live or two as I'm heading to Brazil tomorrow for 3 weeks.

Great video Jon! Just wondering what happens if you don't finish that task due "today" because it's a big task. Then things get delayed and since you're saying can only focus on 2 tasks per day. What about all the daily unexpected things, phonecalls, payments, team crises. You didn't mention these Thanks!

Great question Jason. I simply write "1, 2, 3" etc on the bottom of a task that I could not complete due 'only' to estimating it wrong (happens) or some kind of emergency. If it's just other work creeping in, I get it done no matter what - or that's the goal. 99% of the time it's simply underestimating the time required, so 1, 2, 3 divides it into part 1, part 2, etc. The rest - calls, team issues, etc. - that doesn't matter. If I 'can' finish it I do. That level of accomplishment will help a lot and it will embed into your brain the importance of that "Today" slot!
