I’ve seen several videos about the science behind it and how it works, but nothing practical like this. So thanks a ton! Watched through a couple of your study videos already and they’ve all been super helpful. Worth their weight in gold for sure. Sincere thanks. I’ll be using them myself and sending them to my son.

Nice idea about using those small pockets of time in RemNote! Loved the video from Ali Abdaal and it was great to be reminded of that video again - and to have it explained in a simpler form that wasn't a spreadsheet! :)

I absolutely love RemNote! The built in Pomodoro is amazing. The only problem I'm having is I feel like I'm making way too many cards when taking my notes because it feels like everything is important so I end up with 700+ flashcards for one exam in one class which is probably normal in med/vet school but seems too much in undergrad. Any suggestions for how to not make so many cards? Thanks!!!
@KoiAcademy
@KoiAcademy 3 жыл бұрын
haha yea studying med/vet like you are doing is going to be info overload by nature, but I've found that the more I understand topics and the more I can make connections between similar ideas, then I can condense the amount of cards I need to make. For example, I could make 10 cards for each of the diseases asthma and COPD... or if I take the time to compare and contrast them, then I might only need to make 10 cards total asking about the similarities and differences between them, ultimately decreasing the total number of cards I make. hope that made sense :)

Try using multi-line rems (use 3 colons instead of two) for details that need to be recalled as a bundle

Nice video, brother! Could you make a video about a real case of studying for exams using Remnote (with multiple disciplines). I've been studying for a test like that, and I'm having a hard time with reviewing. Been using Remnote, but I don't know right which stuff I have to make cards about, and when is the right time to review. Thanks a lot!

Do you also think that using essential apps on your phone such as reminders can be beneficial for spaced repetition, like let’s say I studied about the nervous system today and then on my phone I put a reminder in 2 days time I will go over the nervous system??

Great informative video! The only problem I have is that how do I incorporate Anki cards into one of these schedules, anki has it’s own algorithm that might not correlate with my schedule. For ex. If i decide to study biochem ch3, 5 days later anki’s gonna be drowning me with other chapters and subjects on that day. Would love it if you could help me out with this

@amogelangmokaila1011 it's all the built-in features like the Web (for connections between concepts), the toggles, etc. I encourage you to do a bit of research into it since we don't know what specific concepts or material you use specifically so the use of remote would be very specific to you. Play around with it and see what suits your needs and what doesn't!
