Notion might be a good tool for implementing a Calm, social-media free, communication environment for my work. I've subsisted on part-time jobs for four decades as I worked full time on what I'm called to do. Now that I've finished what I started when I was 20, I find I'm not called to market my work, but I am called to communicate. Your Calm communication strategies are enchanting. Notion might be a good tool for orienting to this way of doing things.

OMG, thank you so much for this video. I already use Notion for all my business and content planning - it's my favorite tool. But I never considered to put together a art development dashboard like this... Instead I have stuff all over the place. Style-inspiration boards on Pinterest, Resource lists in the bookmarks, a paper notebook. I love the idea of having it all in one place. My inspiration and learning material, as well as my finished pieces 💚So thanks again.

Thanks Louise. I’m not an artist but I love watching all your videos…and you have shown me the surprising beauty of bugs. I have a new appreciation. 😍 And you have inspired me to make a vision board for my relationship with food. Everything you said about your own practice and the board topics resonated with me with regards to that part of my life. Thanks!

Interesting all together. I might take a stab at using this in the future. I like that it’s all there and not scattered in different places. I do keep an art journal, but that’s really for my videos rather than for my own, which is kind of stupid really as it is more important that I, as the artist grow, and my videos will follow…😊

Phenomenal artwork, infused with dexterity, beauty, and the blurring of lines. Every line can only be drawn once ... and you, Louise, make lines into sparkling magic! 💙🎯

This is brilliant. I think this could be applicable to any creative field. As a musician I could use this to keep a diary of practice sessions on my instrument but also compositions. Thanks so much for sharing this!

Hi! I just wanted to tell you that I really love your approach to art, your aesthetics and everything. The "calm creative" energy is really there, watching your videos makes me tranquil and cosy, thank you. The Notion idea is also wonderful, I've been using Notion for some time now but to make use of it also as far as my art is concerned is very exciting! However, when I saw your notes under your current art such as "no background - too scared to mess it up", I totally felt it. I love art and it makes me feel alive. Honestly though, I struggle with the whole concept of practising (which is totally wrong) precisely because of the fear that I'll mess up. I am very perfectionist and I kind of feel like I have to only create good-quality, "completed" art, if you know what I mean. It is something between frustration, the feeling that I can never improve and an imposter syndrome when I feel like when I mess up, it is a "proof" of my not being talented whatsoever, after all. Do you maybe have some tips how to overcome this inner battle? I think it keeps me stuck a lot :/ thanks!

Thank you for the video! It made me think how I can use something similar for any hobby or something I want to become good at.

I’ve been using Notion on and off for a few years, but mostly to track my expenses or writing random things and I’ve been always curious to see how an artist could use it, I do art as a hobby but i wanted to take it more seriously and for that I need to structure better my activities and times and this is very helpful, i think I’m going to try journaling in Notion focused on art, because sometimes i journal on the notes app, but it gets very disorganized and I have like hundreds of notes about everything 😅, and I have a lot of artists that I admired and having a page dedicated to inspiration and analyzed their work in one place it’s very helpful, better that screenshot something or saving a post on IG, TikTok or other platforms and forget about it, and I love the idea to track the paintings and the ones you sold. Thank you, this is very helpful.

Analyzing and writing about your art is also something that is done in a sketchbook. I find that doing it alongside the entry (even after i do it) works

Hi Louise! This was very inspirational as I have an IPad that I use a digital notebook not as a digital journal to document my art. So thanks!

Wow, Louise! THIS IS GREAT!!! I LOVE THIS!!! Thank you so much for this video! So inspiring! And an artist journal is such a great idea! I just love the way you have organized everything! I only wish I had the time to do what you’re doing. But unfortunately I seem to still need to have a part time job to stay afloat. I would love to check out your website for more info though, which I intend to do, and possibly do one if your watercolor courses. And I’m interested in perhaps arranging for one of your consultations, as well. Is all of that info on your website? Anyway, in the meantime, I just wanted to also tell you that you are an AWESOME artist!!! I love your work and your videos! Thank you so much for all you do, Louise! 😊💕
