I think it could be interesting see how you actually use the tool in a day of work, i.e. I open one note in the morning and I... Check what, plan what, how I cross the tool with the calendar, etc...

I second this. I've been playing with using it for work, as I can save emails and files direclty to it and link it to other items and files in Office 360, but i'm struggling with workflow and remember to actually use it and review it. :D

Nice video. I like your system. What I struggle with is managing specific todo’s. In my role, my team has lots of little action items that come up throughout the week. I seem to switch from tracking them in OneNote, Microsoft Todo, SmartSheet, Planner and even paper. It’s like no system works perfectly - each has its shortcoming. I like to see what actions are urgent or important, their status and any relevant due dates or constraints. How do you handle that?

Yes!! I created my system because I do not have a choice to work with other systems. So I would use one note as a tracker tool shared or I would build into my daily routine checking with those systems where it makes sense.

@@PlanTheGrindSarahWheeler good stuff... I still struggle tracking my action items. I get actions from projects, 1:1 meetings and just from of day to day operations. I go back and forth between storing the actions within each project section, meeting section or operations section vs keeping them all in a single list...

I love this! I use one note to throw in searchable docs so I can find them by topic but I lack organization of the many MANY docs I place there. Tracking individual KPIs and goals there is a great idea. So you download emails on specific items (ex team member roadblocks) in real time and link to their 1:1 page for future check in?

Oh thank you! As I’m reading emails maybe some that I need to support a business case or challenge if a view point I save them to talk through the scenarios or maybe even a coaching opportunity. I have a folder for each team member that I put them in. All their goals reviews or kudos are in them.

This is the best use of Onenote I've seen so far. It will wonderful to see a video in how to set up or even a template to purchase or download. You have so many gems inside this layout it will be amazing to see it in detail to adjust to our needs.
