Well- she technically still is a siamese! She is just a chocolate point. She was never a siamese in breed (I think), she was only ever a colorpoint.

Don’t worry, the entire fandom agrees that Sasha is a Siamese. Now people still argue about if dark tail is one but that’s not important right now. (I forget how I imagined him, I now see him as starclans chosen design ever since seeing that map)

Oh right! And I mean in the sense of semi-realistic cat genetics. I’m not one to straight up follow cat genetics either, I just at least want there to be an explanation to why Hawkfrost has white on him-like unrealistically so, in book logic if Sasha has white on her Hawkfrost probably would automatically too-if that makes sense For example-Appledusk’s and Reedshine’s gray kit Willowshine. Apple and Reed have no ancestors who are gray so why is she gray? It always bugged me for that exact reason lol

I feel like all of these, even graystripe, work great for fan designs! Most of the characters I draw from warriors don’t look like exactly like their canon designs in my style. I love to take liberties and add extra colors or markings if I feel it suits that particular character. Both your designs and the canon designs look great!

The Feathertail and Firestar seem fine, they're not too far off and they would actually work, the Mothwing is kind of meh, in my opinion, I've just never thought of her as orange/red, I feel like most people think of Sasha like that when they're reading without picture references of her, and Graystripe does indeed have a thick gray stripe going down his back canonically!

Fun fact: Technically, Firestar would be more brown than ginger. This is because cats can’t get the ginger fur gene from their father. (This is only the case for males for some reason)

Actually, male kits can’t inherit any colors from their father, the reason for this is because males are X/Y, while females are X/X. The X is what determines the color, and this is also why almost all torties/calicos are female.(there can be male calicos/torties, though this is only possible through mutations(?) and chimeras) the mothers X is always inherited first, so whatever color the mother is, is what color the male kitten will be. (Sorry if this is a bit of a messy explanation, not good at explaining things, though I hope this helps!)

​@@frostcherry8063You're half right. The mother's genes decide whether the male will be red based (red, cream) or black based (black, blue, chocolate, lilac, cinnamon, fawn). If the mother is red, the male will be red or cream. The black based gene is harder to explain, but I'll give an example: The mother is a black cat, but she carries the chocolate gene, and the dilute gene, and the father is a lilac cat (dilute chocolate). They had three male children, one chocolate, one blue(dilute black), and one lilac. I recommend Sparrow's Garden and Messybeast if you want to learn more about the different gene types. And sorry for the long text.

@@frostcherry8063 Orange is the only one really found on the X, from what I can find every other color comes from both parents (both X and Y); it's also why orange has a thing where's it's significantly more common in males than females but other colors like brown or black don't really have this..because other colors aren't locked on a single gene. Same deal for marking and coat lengths, comes from both parents.

I thought FireHeart was a dark red/orange. In one of the books Spoilers SquirrelFlight had explained seeing FireHearts *dark red* tail and SandStorms light ginger tail entwined. And SquirrelFlight is described as a dark ginger. But then again, they probably meant red as ginger.
