my mom is a gastroenterologist here in NYC and food intolerance tests are not seen as viable or accurate. the tests are not really used in a medical setting, use a good probiotic unless you have been diagnosed with something like celiac. intolerances exist, but they are usually noted by your body just by testing them, the tests are not so accurate. just take them with a grain of salt - just a big fyi. love your videos and I hope this doesn't come across poorly, really hope you take it into consideration

As per those tests im intolerant to like eveything . Didnt bother with it! Just eat healthy and work out and suits me just fine. However, i do listen to my body if it does signal certain things dont work for me. But yeah those tests dont seem right.

I don't usually comment on videos, but I heavily empathize with the struggle of having skin issues. I'm 22 years old and have struggled with acne and perioral dermatitis for several years. I understand when you say you feel like you have no control over your skin; it's the worst thing and completely shatters your confidence and you don't want to go anywhere near a mirror. By taking medication, it has gotten significantly better over time, but I still get flare-ups from time to time. My skin health is probably the most important thing to me so I feel you too :(

Drink warm lemon juice in the morning to clear your skin. You can eat a small amount of cinnamon on a spoon too! Squeeze a half a lemon in half a cup of warm alkaline water and gulp it down then work your way up to a whole squeezed lemon over time. Your skin will improve so fast! Eta: You can use spring water after you get use to the warm lemon about 5-7 days.

You probably know more about skin care than I do but this method is truly Tried and tested!!! The more product you use on your skin, the more you breakout. Try using a simple face wash and a simple gel moisturiser for a month. You’ll see a difference in the overall health of your skin. I use to have the same problem as you. Breaking out for no reason. And I have used the most expensive skincare there is and been to a dozen dermatologists. They all gave me the same advice. The simpler the better. My skin glows now.

there's many reasons for breakouts but sometimes it is overlooked that a simple deficiency in zinc and selenium can be the cause. it is great that you are paying attention to your intolerances. I would check if you are deficient in any essential nutrients/minerals. & obviously eating better helps lol. Wishing you the best

Hey Laili, I understand what it means to have a beautiful skin and it's a big part of your life but you also need to consider other parts of your life that make you a fantastic human being. If you define yourself based on your appearance you will find yourself in situations like this a lot and no matter what you do to look good will never be good enough. I am a life + mindset transformation coach and I study the subject of self-worth a lot and have helped people find meaning in life that is not attached to themselves. Because most of them latch their self-worth based on their performance on job for you it is your skin. As difficult as it is to accept, our skins won't look like this later so it's important to accept the highs and the lows now and appreciate what our skin does for us so that tomorrow skin aging won't take the living life out of us. I hope this helps someone to learn and accept where you are in your journey 🌺🤗

Hi Lail I wanted to write a comment bc I went through exactly the same thing you did a while back. You and I were born on the same day so I understand how you feel exactly. I started birth control which arguably didn't do much for my acne but made it worse, it did help w mood swings. For acne I've been using tretinoin which has saved my skin. I stopped eating fruits and milk products which have reduced the hives tremendously. I hope you can be happier soon! I went through this period as well and I just wanted to tell you it gets better. You are beautiful ❤️

Have you tried the FOOD-map diet? If not you should def try it. So many people (including myself) was told I was allergic to gluten and lactose when in fact I am not. What I actually can not eat is things like; onions, aspargeus, apples, pears, mango, watermelon, avocado, peas, chickpeas, rye. All this I found out on the FOOD-map diet after cutting all grains and dairy and not feeling a tad bit better lol. But after cutting a lot of fruits and vegetables I got a new life!

Have you ever tried birth control (yaz) as a solution to acne? I never got to the level of PCOS but have had surgery to remove several abnormal ovarian cysts and suffered from horrible hormonal acne (which I think are related to whatever’s causing the cysts) for the longest time until I started taking yaz. Just a thought.

Accutane was the only thing that worked for me. I know it’s a strong medication. But there’s a lot of misconceptions about the mediation. I had awful hormonal break outs and tried every diet, was diligent with treatments, only used medical grade skincare. And still nothing helped. Until accutane, I now can eat whatever and not break out.
