Got one of the last ones made in 23. I’ve installed a Kaoko throttle lock, the quick turn throttle tube, removed the passenger pegs, and I’ve got a Hyperpro 461 rear setup coming. Love my sled

Love your mods dude. Bike sounds pretty sick. On my 21 Sled, I upgraded the foot pegs, put crash protection everywhere and the Hepco & Becker rear rack. with Kriega 40L) dry bag) Paid $11,500 for the bike new and about $3K for upgrades. Next year I'm gonna do the exhaust (haven't decided which one yet) and put on the heated grips, do the tail delete, and upgrade the mirrors and maybe the seat.

Thanks! Honestly after reading your comment I'm pretty happy I found mine used at the price I did. I think the exhaust is a pretty fun mod and I love the way it sounds these days

Got allot of the same mods - im going to attempt to wrap the tank covers instead. The hepco rack is a must for some extra storage - stay safe out there

Let me know how it turns out! Definitely the cheaper option..

I don't know what you do for a living, but I can tell you are and will be very successful in all you do, you are serious, smart and meticulous, great job, enjoyed a lot watching the video, I looked at the same bike for a while, but the Ducati scared me, riding T7 now... best of luck, great success in all your life ventures

Damn, you gotta love motorcycles! I love cars and that's been the focus of my channel, and this hobby, but I love my desert sled. Great to see another video from you, man! I've done a number of practicality mods to mine recently and am also working on a video for those. Great work as always man!

Honestly it's such a great bike. But I agree on the practicality aspect, I've tried to focus on that as well

Great content, hey I liked that fairing...a lot. Maybe you'd like it carbon?
@cactusarray Жыл бұрын
Digging the carbon mods, both fender and side panels match your model year DS quite well. I also bought a dart screen and had the same opinions as you. Im still looking for another screen option, something much more minimal just to protect the gauge from bugs and debris
@CatchHellMoto Жыл бұрын
Thanks! When I looked back and saw how much it cost I was like ehh.. but I think its worth it. Hoping to paint the tank black too which will kinda close out the look. And yea I've seen one screen that looked really good but I'm pretty sure it was a custom fiberglass piece
@cactusarray Жыл бұрын
@@CatchHellMoto there is an aluminum rizoma screen that looks very sleek but I've read it is a pain to install.

Hi there, great video, wondering what stands your using for the bike, I’ve struggled to find a good swing arm stand and fork stand for my desert sled
@CatchHellMoto Жыл бұрын
Honestly I usually buy a random rear stand off FB Marketplace for cheap. I did buy the Adjustable Front Under Fork Stand from Woodcraft when I had to change the tires on the front wheel

Love your videos man. On a similar journey with my DS but still contemplating on the rexxer tune. Just installed an akropovi exhaust and bike rides fine but really want to get the most from it. Tune holding up ok?
@CatchHellMoto9 ай бұрын
Yea the tune is doing great! Had it in the shop a couple months ago and they had no comments on the exhaust set up or if there was anything wrong with the set up. Thanks for the comment!

Im looking to buy a desert sled after I sell my project car. What’s a reasonable price for a used one? I see them posted all the time for like 8k-9k for an earlier one which doesn’t seem right.
@CatchHellMoto9 ай бұрын
Anything 2017 and older I wouldn't go higher than $7k. 2018-2022 you could maybe get one for $8k depending on private sale/dealer and my model
@jesseondrumsjd Жыл бұрын
With the hi flow air filter and exhaust and the fact that the bikes are shipped lean, how much more power did you get? How noticeable was it? I wanted to do an airbox mod and ecu flash because I heard it’s a game charger for these bikes. The airbox is completely closed off. Some got an extra 8-10lb ft. And 8-10hp
@CatchHellMoto Жыл бұрын
Upgrade was definitely worth the investment. Bike has much better torque on the low end and sounds much better. If I would do it differently I would even have tuned the bike for without the silencer. Sounds much better! You're right with the spec increase though, it honestly feels like I'm riding a different bike
