Loved the results! I’m natural also, but I love me a silky straight middle part sew in. One product that I’ve been using is the “igk- good behavior” smoothing spay. Girl, game changer! It gets your hair silky straight and then I put a little shine jam on top... As like a gel..but not really a gel because I just want it to blend without the top being hard and stiff.. you should try it. I get asked daily about my hair.. people also think it’s a lace front because it blends so well.

Hey! I don’t mean any harm, but I noticed that you didn’t apply any heat protectant spray to your natural hair leave out. I’ve learned from experience that we should NEVER apply heat to our hair without a heat protectant spray. Your leave out will be damaged immediately. I love using Silk Elements heat protectant spray, I’ve used it for about 8 years now and my hair has grown long without heat damage. ❤

I use a setting lotion to lay my leave out while wet, as well! It molds it to the weave for a seamless blend when blowdrying. Nairobi is the one that I use. Girl, you will be like “leave out where” lol..

Have you considered doing glueless wigs? I’ve seen so many that look so good and you can take it off whenever and don’t have to worry about leave out, glue, breakage, or even braiding. They’re also cheaper with so many sales and they look amazing.

I agree. I love glueless wigs, they’re so easy and low maintenance. I used to wear sew ins with leave out but I hated the heat damage I did to my leave out and the tension on my edges. Also My natural hair reverts back at the first sign of humidity

I mainly wore glueless wigs with the grip but I don’t think I wear wigs well - they always look wiggy on me but I recently wore a frontal and melted the lace lol and I liked it way more. I found it to be more realistic on me.

The main question I always have as a women of color with 4c hair is…. Can you go swimming with a sew in and successfully wash the chlorine out of your hair underneath, leave out, and sew in hair? Summer is around the corner and I love to swim so, is this something that’s possible or would swimming destroy the sew-jn? 🤔 I just want to keep a protective style in and still be able to swim! 😅

What about inside you don’t sit under dryer to prevent mildew for your braids to dry

I feel like Mildew is likely to happen if your hair is very thick and mine isn’t. The dryer thought would’ve been a lot faster, but I didn’t have one on hand so I opted to air dry for 5+ hours.
