There's probably a fine line between quality content and anything for views. There's nothing wrong with trying to improve your teaching skills or oratory skills to send out your message, or perhaps the purpose of the content is just to make content because you find it fun.
@LinkEX2 жыл бұрын
@@dugglebay3483 That's the pitfall of marketing. When you're just trying to see what sticks and do whatever gets the biggest reaction, you end up doing what's popular, not what you actually want to do. And since "what's popular" is mostly superficial BS when it comes to TikTok, can't say I'm surprised he ended up stumbling along that path.

I gotta agree with you on this one. When you do things that are aside from your main focus and make those side things your main focus, in all honesty, it's better to leave it all in the dirt. I remember seeing you on TikTok and then KZbin and it was obviously at first that you wanted to teach coding to people. And sometimes when wanting to branch out, it can be great and creative, but when it takes away from your main focus, then that's when you gotta drop it. As someone who follows you on TikTok, I'm honestly glad you left to get some fresh air and it's your choice on whether you wanna come back or not. I'll follow you on KZbin since I could learn some coding as well (Java specifically) lol. But either way, have fun and focus on what you can stick with the most.

Also I truly loved your coding content. I've worked among the best and worst men in the world (normal when you're one of the few woman amongst them in senior roles), and when I first saw your content in 2020, I not only thought it was useful, had a fun edge, but I liked the fact you didn't seem to care about approval and seemed to be an all round good guy. Then the change to be popular. I do forget most developers don't walk alone to the supermarkets and have men call out from trucks driving past, or how when you are the only woman in the room, working with men, you are well aware they have a good look, no matter what you wear, god forbid you feel like looking good. I am not clear from your KZbin video if you liked the female attention or not. But yeah I doubt the women leaving those thirst comments would be looking forward to your coding tutorials. I stopped coming to your channel, cos yeah, you seemed to start posting things that were the opposite of what brought me here in the first place and why I respected you. But it's your profile, your life, so you get to choose. I can honestly say I was never a girl who say 'took off her shirt' to get anything, jobs, boyfriends, attention. I know many girls that did, they enjoyed the false attention and then their career plummeted, because others know they used such tactics to get a quick boost, whereas others kept working hard, not doing those things, that ultimately women also felt degraded other women who didn't think like that. I guess a lot of developers, weirdly, dreamed of becoming thirst traps and being sex symbols, without realising, how degrading that can be. Unless of course being degraded is your thing. I know that masochism is a strong trait in developers over the age of 42 years old. Not sure about those under 42, statistically speaking. I like to think these days developers are a more representative bunch. Almost like a dream.
