Really good job by the editor by adding the pop up of what an item does whenever it's bought or talked about, it's actually kinda hard to keep up on stream lol

This and Kripp's Dam "delete 9 items" are some of the whackiest and most broken builds I've seen so far and i love them

not comparable the dam build you can do every run thats why they nerf it and same for the scyscraper build and i hope perma freeze dooley this is a 1 in a hundret luck draw xD

@@CoL_Drake Yeah, and if they need to nerf this, they can just make the Yo-Yo only work on one side (left or right), so you can't infinitely chain more than 1 copy of them. Not sure they need that though, because it takes incredible luck to get x2 copies.

@@jeremiahbell6129infinite chain yoyo is fine the sheer rarity of it is insane. This is not something you can actually hope to get in normal play. Having some broken super rare is fine in these games.

@@CoL_Drake Have they already mentioned a nerf incoming for Scraper builds? It's insanely easy to do and it's like 50% of the playerbase at the moment. It's creating an insanely unfun experience for everyone.

@@catowarmeowson9964 it sorta has nft-esque elements. you get chests as a reward from winning in ranked, and the items that you get from them are serialized like an nft, its just missing the real world money part. though they are going to add a player to player market place, so theres that.

@@catowarmeowson9964 Yeah for a while they were going to include NFTs or something like that, I basically stopped paying attention to the game when they announced it. Looks like they undid the decision for the best.

@@catowarmeowson9964If you're thinking of the NFT Hearthstone clone with the chain motif then that's a different project, but Raynad did mention he was gonna add NFTs to the game during a livestream - assumedly to attract big investment firms looking to make crypto a thing. I think now that the tides have turned on NFT-bros, and the big firms have moved on to AI, he's given up on the idea though.

This reminds me of the early balatro demo, it's a little rough. Got some balance issues, a little content light, but god damn it's got me hooked. This is gonna kick ass

Doesn't seem rough at all to me. Balance is always in a place of argument, because with the game being rogue-like draft thing. Anything that is "over powered" might actually be intentionally overpowered because its rare to find. Having "high-roll" games is okay. The idea of the game is that you're always just playing "the hand your delt" the best way possible. Sometimes you hand if a metophical pocket aces and you damn near auto win sometimes its metaphorical 2-9 off suit. Still is a hand you can win with, but you really got to play it right. Content wise, its got i think was said 500 cards or so i believe. Then add however many different powers and the combinations you could pull off are nearly limitless. Of course they fully intend to add not just little "packs" of cards to existing characters but entirely new cards with about 100 new cards for that character.

I think if you looked for Vanessa shop to the aquatic slow clam that says "at the start of combat, use this", you can actually outpace the 1shot dagger build with this. Wild build.

Actually crazy build. I find yoyo with 2 properties and heal bird friend to be a really strong early game build which I do very often and almost always have a yoyo for that pivot and still have never seen this interaction

Just an FYI, you missed a chance for perma slow as well with the Marbles. Get that next time and place it adjacent on the far side to the 2nd yo-yo and it will trigger when the yo-yo does as well. Didn't need the globe then.

I think there is a big chance most busted builds will be nerfed and after many cards expacs - they will be unnerfed, cause won't be able to replicate these builds easily with more items in the pool. In 1 year this game can change dramatically

This seems kinda broken lol Maybe it should only count cooldown activations and not other triggered activations? Or should just ignore other yoyos, lol - probably better for keeping other synergies available. Or even better, tracking "proc chains" and not letting a loop form by making it so a chain of procs can only have each item once \o/ (This is how passive procs work in Risk of Rain 2, not my original idea - but it would fix all potential infinite damage insta-win loops like this)

Rarran skipping so many marbles was insane. He skipped like 4 of them. Just put one next to a yoyo and you have infinite slow and yoyo hits

This is the ultimate stream game because just like gameshows, the entire time you're just thinking "Well I'D do better because I'd have picked this", like the entire time I was thinking building around the Yoyos was the wrong play and you should have just built a separate strategy having the Yoyos proccing on the side

Upgrading items is really weird. If you get a duplicate item from another item (in this case, he got his second yoyo from selling Shipment) the items don't combine. They only seem to combine if you buy or get an item directly from the Bazaar.

btw, the jojo broke the moment it actually went off cd, so you actually needed to keep the jojo cds up and trigger it with something else, like you luckyly did. otherwise it would have kept breaking.

About the client side damage calculation: For me it really seems the game works client side, when you start a fight with a player it looks like you’re not dueling in realtime but an avatar, about the yoyo lagging, after the lag improved a bit (client side) the damage output just has gotten way better. Do anyone have insights about the battle system architecture works?

I thought that if you purchase (or acquire through other means) a duplicate item, it upgrades the first item to the next level of rarity instead of giving you an additional copy??

Purchase sure. Acquire through other means, no. You can "get" an item through randomness like Stockpiles and it wont' combine.

@@фанатКуплинова-ь1е Right now, they are exclusive. If you acquire an item through a merchant or enemy, it'll forcibly upgrade with a copy if you have one. If you acquire an item through a "generation" effect like Pirannahs, Busy Bees, or Fishing Rod, etc. then it'll refuse to upgrade with a copy if you have one. You can't combine them. I liek that we CAN get a duplicate of an item that doesn't immediately merge, as that can lead to fun situations, but I've also been in the boat of "I don't have room or desire for a duplicate, and now my Revolver didn't upgrade" or whatever. It's a shame but as long as it's consistent, I'm okay with it.
