Here's what a day could look like if I were to eat 200g of protein 🍜
A lot of people have asked me why my protein is so high and why I'm not following the recommended 0.7-1g of lb per bw guide, and the reason is, everyone's different.
Those numbers aren't a rule you have to stick to. I personally started around there and as I've been tracking for so long now, my protein has just slowly increased over time, and it's just what suits my lifestyle now.
If you struggle to have that much protein, don't have that much protein. It's really not something to overcomplicate 🙂

Cabbage has to be one of the best cutting foods at least in my opinion. Holds up better than lettuce, can carry plenty of flavor, low calorie, high volume, high fiber.

I have also seen a recommendation of 1.2-1.6 grams of protein per pound of lean mass, which can end up being a higher intake than the recommendation of 0.7-1 grams of protein per pound of bodyweight

So a lot of people like to get high protein meals, and I do, too, but what about what people say- that we can only digest like 25 g/ 90 min.? Some sites will say the remaining protein doesn’t really go directly to muscle building but is used for other things. Others disagree. I think I might try just having a bunch of small meals so I can make sure “100%” of the protein is used for muscles and not “wasted” Any thoughts, people?

Highly recommend trying out adding some pickled veg or olives to the cracker, ham and cottage cheese combo!! I was making that same snack basically but was doing what I said with no ham, definitely trying out the ham version soon

The problem with overemphasisng protein in a calorie deficit is you have to skimp on carbs and fats to accommodate it. All three macros are vitally important.

So, during contest prep, while leaning up to relatively low body fat percentages (lower than 10%), or just generally cutting your macros harder than the 20% recommended margin, you want much more protein than what has been shown to be the lower limit for optimal hypertrophy (0.7-1.0 grams per pound of bodyweight). I can't give you a specific number because it is fsirly variable, but during any of the aforementioned contexts, 1.0 grams per lbs of body weight really becomes the lower limit to avoid as much muscle loss as possible. I have seen ifbb pros going as high as 1.25g/lbs of bodyweight though, and I can also give the context that the number needs to be higher proportionate to the severity to which your body will try and reduce muscle mass, so you need more if you're fairly close to your hypertrophic limits (i.e. have a lot of muscle mass and aren't putting nearly as much on as you used to when you first started lifting) or if you're doing a lot of things that is stressing your body simultaneously.

If you wanna save money lean beef mince is cheaper than rump steak and is objectively easier to prep, can have with noodles as a chow mein or just rice and stir-fry veg

Ive been doing 180-200g protein for about a month now, the bull of that protein comes from 8-10 eggs, a few chicken breasts OR 1.5 pounds 88/12 ground beef, cottage cheese, and whey isolate prepared with whole milk. Its a tolerable and reliable way to get there everyday.

I add eggs to everything. If i make a stir fry i add a couple eggs. Chicken fried rice with a couple eggs. Bibimbap with extra eggs. Beef buritto? Add eggs. Also udon noodles have like 15g protein per block and i fuck those up on the reg. Also im not cutting and never will so this stuff may not be diet friendly for many.
