When I first started learning Spanish, everyone kept saying, "Spanish is so easy! Come on, it's nothing!" I believed them because so many people said it. However, after three years of studying Spanish, I can say with 100% certainty that it is not easy. It requires a lot of effort. Honestly, there is no such thing as an easy language. Maybe English seems easy because it's so easy to see everywhere, but even English is not that easy.

I totally agree with you! I do think we can learn some techniques or principles that can make the process a little bit easier, though. That's why I started this KZbin channel.

Hi, I’m native dutch. I live in Belgium and I speak also French and a little bit English. Meanwhile I’m studying Spanish already for 3 years. I use Duolingo, I have (once a week) a private teacher (web), I follow netflix in Spanish, TikTok teachers, KZbin channels … my phone is in Spanish and after 3 years not yet “fluent”. It takes 2000 hours to learn a “easy” language (suchs as, english, french, dutch, german, spanish, portugese, …). If you study one full hour a day (=300 hours a year) you will nead 6 years te speak level C1 (almost fluent). There are no shortcuts.

@@carlosspanish101 It was my first job after graduating from the US Merchant Marine Academy. I worked for Dillingham in a shipyard and tugboat company. We towed a fuel barge to Saipan once a month. I got my harbor pilot's license from the US Coast Guard. We brought commercial and Navy ships into the harbor. I arrive one year after typhoon Pamela severely damaged Guam. One of the best 2 years of my life!

@carlosspanish10128 күн бұрын

Learn the pronunciation of vowels first. Spanish is phonetic. It’s always pronounced as it is written.
@carlosspanish10128 күн бұрын
Awesome! Learning of vowels is key. That's why I already posted a video about basic Spanish syllables kzbin.info/www/bejne/a3OweHigndVsiq8si=Scj6PHwQ3qLoO94I In the next few weeks, I'll be posting videos on how to pronounce each of the Spanish vowels + Diphthongs and lots of very common examples.
