What I believe is that the system is far different right now from how it was a couple years ago. I'm from Assam and our Education system here is now putting their attention in understanding concepts more than mugging up chapters over chapters. Question Patterns have changed and can only be solved with a clear and vague understanding of the chapters. Skill based Questions, Practical knowledge are being applied in tests and examinations Also, I believe that the expected future requirements of a child are changing exponentially so skills like public speaking, entrepreneurship, Computer Science etc should be the main focus. And in this context my school is very much concious of. In the current generation for what I m observing, toppers are not those stereotypical nerds with books, introverted attitude and one with no outside knowledge anymore. They are more job oriented with skillful and hardworking qualities like the ones discussed above. So i think schools are changing and NEP is working a lot towards it. 😊❤
@KrabbyPatty065 ай бұрын
Yeah in degree in Assam is also playing a huge role in putting informative subjects rather than only memorizing bookish knowledge..glad to be part of NEP but in some aspects... they're lacking and they should try to make the education system more clearer and wide for newcomers

Taking biology in India is itself a sad situation. There is no scope. Talk to your parents about the kind of life you want to lead. Because clearing Neet is just one step. You will also have to go for a pg later on. It is extremely difficult to bag a government seat and private colleges are very costly. Financial independence is important. You can still go for visual arts and filmmaking after 12th. There are many colleges like symbiosis pune that offer this course. But also keep finance at the centre, because your peers pursuing engineering from good colleges will have a generous package after 4 years. Money does solve a lot of problems. Research every possible field which can give you a good return. Talk to your parents, don’t be afraid, i am sure they will get it.

4.Indian education system doesn't offer chances to students to improve their academic performance especially those who are terminally ill have physical and mental health problems, financial and family problems.(for example a student who suffered an accident and went into a coma woke up few years later on May or May not get the chance to return and improve his class performance ever again) impacting his future without his fault. 5. Heavy burden and pressure placed on students to finish homework in small deadlines,score well in exams and succeed. 6.)Lack of information regarding educational institutions, courses offered, eligibility for entrance exams, possible opportunities, key risks and factors, benefits and schemes online. 7) Mismanagement and corruption in system. Maine dekha hai ki kabhi kabhi exam ke dates ko bhi clear ya clarify nhi Kia jaata hai,time pe admit card, registration form release nhi hota, improper communication ya insufficient information hota regarding date of release of application forms, managing cheating malpractice and paper leak issues. In short, the education system suffers from too many problems that have to be fixed. We can't deny the education system is not flawed or is perfect.

@darkmatter17005 ай бұрын
Hey Shruti! What you're feeling like right now sounds a lot like what I faced after 10th too. I am writing this to you because my heart really goes out to my past self and I still feel if I had made better choices back then I wouldn't be in such a pathetic condition right now (That is, I still am confused right now about what I can do in life). Please ask yourself 4 questions (prioritize the 1st and 3rd question): 1. What do YOU love? - your passion (it does not have to be something you are good at. For example, one could love drawing even though they suck at it or love to make music even though they know nothing about how to do it) 2. What are you good at? - your function (Again, it does not only have to be the things you love. One could be a genius at coding even though they don't particularly like it.) 3. What does the world needs? - your mission 4. What are you getting paid for? - your profession Take you own sweet time while figuring this out, don't rush. Most importantly, don't answer any of the question under any kind of influence, a lot of people aren't even aware that they are being pressured into like some particular science subject at school just coz their peer likes it or the everything around them sees it as the only important subject. Your answers could be vague af. Like you could even write down that you love watching two people debate. After all that, I urge you to see a counselor, or some elder you know is open minded and knowledgeable about what your interests tell about you. Or if not, you could ask chatgpt something like this: "I love doing ________, what does that tell about me?" Now, what that tells about you are your intrinsic skills. Then you could ask: "I am good at _________, what does that tell about me?", again you'd find a set of skills. Then with the list of skills you now have, you could ask "These are my skills, what are my possible career and educational choices?" And honestly, burried deep within you, your heart knows what you truly want, you can listen to your heart by trying to remember the things you used to have lots of fun doing. The outside circumstances can affect the way you percieve those things now, but there always is a scope. PS: I do not mean to discourage you in any way. You say that you don't know why you're prepping JEE and you just took science coz it seemed interesting, all I want is for you to find out something that you in fact find way more interesting than the subjects you took and actually have a purpose to pursue any particular thing. Otherwise you _might_ feel a little clueless, disturbed and not very motivated after a while of prep for JEE. If nothing, you might just get to know a little more, be it about yourself or the world. All the best for your endeavours! Sincerely hope you get what you want.

the education system is really really messed up. im a class 12th student in pcm and jee aspirant. although im doing good in my studies, i still feel regret for joining the jee race because the stress and pressure has increased to the point where ive started hated studying, which was not the case when i took pcm. i loved pcm and i know i still do because it simply provokes my interest but the pressure is the one that kills it.

For getting a job, knowledge on how to sell your skills is much more important than gaining skills. In IT, lot of students and graduates focus on developing skills but they never develop skills to present those skills. During interviews, Recruiters only see how clear you are on basic and foundational skills. Having knowledge on skils but making a mess when presenting it is also a reason why there is unemployment.

Problem society ki hai , parents and teachers and elders are not ready to accept the chaning world. They have narrow vision , unhe kuch aur dikhai nahi deta and they say "scope" nahi ahi aur phir student wahi adopt kar leta hai because he is taught from his child hood to obey elders and not to use your mind. education system ko job ke ek pathway ki tarah dekha jata hai isliye koi repsponsibility nahi leta , unhe to yahi bola jata hai ki beta ye karlo ho jaaega.

I think the only way young people can have skill based real time education is by going for part time jobs as soon as they turn 14.. for instance, if one starts working in a coffee shop, they will figure out time management, communication, entrepreneurship, worth of hard earned money and time and leadership too.. these are of some of those 100s of skills which cannot be taught and are not taught in our education system.. this can also help people figuring out what they actually want to do when they are in their 20s and 30s..

This is soo accurate, in school kids were being filtered into Science, Commerce, and humanities only. If we didn’t score well we could not take science, but what if we were actually better at science ?? People taking commerce were looked down upon (not smart enough) and forget what people think of Humanities student..I personally hated the entrance exams and I still just hate them so much. What is the use of science as well, even students of IITs doing Physics courses end up entering IT jobs!! Science in India doesn’t really mean physics, chemistry , astrophysics it is mainly just for IT. Majority people I mean especially guys they are all engineers or studied engineering. My bachelors didn’t help me it didn’t make me be a job ready and what job it is just IT that needed job mostly or managerial always needed experience. Today after 10 years after bachelors and doing Masters abroad I am so much of a professional who works hard but again it doesn’t help in India. It is frustrating !

I think India will need to approach 1-12th grade education from the approach IB and other real international schools take. Because like India, there's a large diversity of ethnicities/nationalities/backgrounds, etc. in those places. You are given a clear criteria and list of things you have to have to score full marks for your homework/quizzes/tests, etc. You gotta do a lotta research, cheating is punished EXTREMELY hard, teachers don't put that much pressure on you, etc. You have MANY courses to select from. Extracurricular activities are greatly focused on and mandatory to take. All this provides students with an overview of their options, lets them even experience them. For example, woodworking class, claymaking classes, bands, etc. I'm not saying Indian schools provide that level of infrastructure as those schools since they are pretty expensive, but definitely take a page out of their books. I am quite sure teachers that have skill in those areas can be incorporated into schools to at least give students an overview. Another thing schools can do is focus on cleaning and cleaning up after yourself. Clean the school up, not make a mess, etc. Just let students start bringing in a computer with them to class. You can get a laptop with an OLED display for ~36k. And a ryzen 5 laptop can be had for ~30k. Its a hefty amount for a lot of people, but think about how much time, energy, etc. you spend on running around getting useless books. Using a laptop daily will also get students to learn about excel, word, powerpoint, etc. because they'll use it. Most people in India only know how to use a phone and that too only the basics. Its not gonna help them out. Because right now, India lacks extracurricular activities and active use of technology. Because of that nobody has interest in them and colleges/institutes which offer those don't exist or are in a really bad shape. I mean India isn't exactly winning in sports and arts because of this. The reason most people aren't employable is their lack of technological awareness because they don't use it to do their school and college work. The reason this will not work most likely is due to lack of funding at the lowest levels, but also the current curriculum not leaving much room for technology. And there's a lack of awareness too.

I asked my sibling to choose science to figure out her actuall passion she is too studing science for TP coz if u choose science then u have multiple career options and opportunities in the feild of commerce and arts too.
