One thing about him replacing Beidou in Sucrose Taser is that it leaves the team unprotected. The thing about Beiodu+XIngqiu combo is that their damage reductions stack additively instead of multiplicatively, reducing the damage by a *lot*, to the point where Beidou's micro shield from c1 has Zhongli's shield effective hp levels. Ororon does not offer this kind of defensive utility, so the team will just die unless you are very good at dodging, and dodging is a dps loss anyway.

unless u don’t care abt meta or ur on mobile, just learn to dodge. It’s a core movement mechanic, you’re always going to need it and it’s always going to be useful. It gives you invincibility frames and is essential for repositioning

Ororon is the character who acts the cutest. Definitely trying to snipe a copy of him. Wish they'd add some way to increase Nighsoul burst frequency like a CDR or a kit that can trigger Nightsoul burst independently from the global timer. I'm coping that would be Mavuika's passive to buff Kinich to trigger his A4 more, or Ororon to get more nighsoul points outside EC teams.

I'm REALLY starting to hate hoyo for making these characters that need specific elements in the team to work properly. Like WHERE'S the VERSATILITY?!?!?!?!? Characters that lack so much versatility makes me seriously just roll my eyes and ignore them and never pull for them. I'll still get Ororon since i love him but hoyo pls STOP making such bad characters and blocking them from other team options bc of how their locked to specific elemental teams. It really just kills the hype down when i learn that the characters I'm so excited for are locked to specific teams only to function properly or else half their kit won't even work.🤦🏻‍♀️ Hoyo please get better and don't mess up Capitano and Mavuika's kit and give them both equal special treatment,since you like to give all the special treatment to only the female/"waifu" characters. I can't tell if this is bait or not. But in case it's not, Genshin kind of has to release characters that are niche, and it's their own fault. If they release characters that are viable in every team and every situation, there would never be a reason to use anyone else. For example, Chevreuse is good because she lets Pyro or Electro characters have new competitive teams that aren't just Vape for Pyro units or Aggravate for Electro units, especially considering Bennett exists for these attack-scaling characters. Or characters like Faruzan Gorou, etc., having a character whose buffs are tailor made to a specific elemental DPS is very important so those units don't get phased out. Imagine if Faruzan was a "universal" support who gave all elemental damage bonus, shredded all resistances, gave a massive attack% and HP% buff, was a great battery, had incredible personal damage, shielded, and healed with no restrictions. There would just be no reason to use anyone else, and that doesn't give people a reason to pull a character they might like since Faruzan would just be better in every way. Making niche supports or niche damage dealing units is 1 way to keep teams fresh and incentivize people to branch out, as well as making new units that come out have a place in teams so they don't fall behind in viability.

Usually when someone cries "no versatility", they're just upset a character can't synergize with a regular meta unit, like Kazuha or Bennet. He's plenty versatile. You just want to do electro or hydro damage with someone on the team. I'm going to make a Yae, Childe team with him.
