Partition is the best thing that British have done to India First they partitioned Burma in 1935 Then filtered out the Mohammedans in 1947. The main reason for India's stability, is the diversity of States iin languages etc if trouble arises in one State the neighbouring States are less affected. But the BJP wants to Centralise trying to force one language (Hindi) even though it is spoken by 30% of the population, one religion, one thought (Sarvarkar's), one dress saree (not salvar or jeans). A 100 years ago the Japanese Govt popularized the use of Western dress and discard kimonos, they copied Western ideas of modernisation.

What's the difference, India is Sanātan majority, even in India we have seen this kind of situation in k@$hmir in the 1990 hindus had to flee from there to save their lives, when atrocities were happening there against the minority hindu community not all but lots of administrative officers, police, doctors etc of that state were also complicit in doing or facilitating those atrocities.

One of the key reasons IMO is that India always had a emperor or ruler at Delhi at various points in history whether it was the Hindu kings or Mughals or the British who the people recognized in the pre partition subcontinent, whether they agreed with the rule or not. Post partition nations other than India did not have the core nucleus in their respective countries that people can look up to. That's also partly why China is stable. They just replaced the emperor with the communist party. Also India did well to establish good institutions early on that people can trust and being a secular Republic made sure differences are addressed.
