Hello everybody and welcome to my channel
-The material used here is FOCAL BAM XXXL. Although this material is an expensive material, it is one of the best sound insulation materials in terms of both sound insulation and fire safety. Materials other than this material can also be used for sound insulation. I used this product because the first priority for me is that the insulation does not burn and absorbs the sound that way. I did not aim to introduce a product in this video.
In this video, I will share with you how I made sound insulation on the side walls, inner surface of the fenders, floor and boot sill metal in the trunk of my vehicle.
I did not make sound level measurements before starting the insulation and after completing the insulation. But I can say that the sound coming from the back has decreased noticeably. I applied a fire and flame test to this insulation material (Focal) that I used. You can access that video at the link: • Otomobil Kaput Ses İzo...
I removed the plastic boot sill trim inside the trunk, the carpet trim material on the side walls and the carpet trim and clips behind the rear seat to reach the area where I would cover. After isolation, I mounted it back, following the sweat of the road I dismantled. I wiped / cleaned the places where I applied isolation first with a wet wipe and then with isopropyl alcohol. So I prepared the surface. I used Focal BAM XXXL + synthetic white color insulation on the side walls, and Cerwin Wega aluminum plate insulation with white butyl rubber + synthetic white color insulation in the base / spare tire pool.
The result is satisfactory. The sound level from the back has dropped noticeably.
Have a good time.
