PC plate is essentially impossible with hall effect switches as they need the plate to be rigid. A soft or flexible plate will result in false inputs, no matter the software.
@Aerobrake12 күн бұрын
Not necessarily. PC plates are fine if there is a layer of silicone between the plate and the PCBA similar to the 80HE.

tru didnt think of that lmao

I think they're tricking people into spending more by making the "pro" keys cost extra. Double rail sounds like a more stable and solid keypress, along with 50% extra lifespan means you have way less worries about wearing them out. The slightly quieter noise is also more appropriate in my opinion for a linear switch. On the Field75 HE for instance, they show the stats b/w the more expensive keys, and everything is the exact same except the maximum actuation distance, with an even bigger price difference of 25 dollars. But it's a hall effect customizable actuation distance, so.. who's really going to care about that extra .7 mm? I think maybe shorter maximum travel could be more for Starcraft players rather than FPS players. I just feel like it'd be hard to have a strong opinion on that extra .7 mm without thoroughly testing both boards, but even then, it's probably such a negligible difference as to be irrelevant. I guess the idea is that if your finger is constantly moving to many different keys, then maybe a shallower bottom makes them feel slightly spammier. But.. maybe not. Could be completely subjective placebo effect marketing hype nonsense. I think most keyboards use 4.0 mm as standard for a reason anyways. Whatever.
