I am East Asian and visited Israel for a month in college. I was there to teach engineering concepts to high schoolers. They often asked me what I thought of Palestine, and I'd tell them "You know, as a guest in your country, I'm learning a lot and I don't think I know enough to say" to try and be polite. These children would then gleefully tell me how much they hated the Palestinians, how they were like cockroaches. One child even compared them to the mindless giants in "Attack on Titan" and that they needed to be exterminated. Later that day, a child asked me about my country, Japan, and pulled back his eyes to do the racist "squinty" face. I got a little upset, and asked him how he would like it if I made a sign of a big nose while asking about Jewish people. He got very mad at me. I have never been more terrified of, and sorry for, a group of children in my life.

I don’t think, now, that a two state solution is what should happen. Walls should be torn and the borders should blend…under what name who knows? but an only jewish state is impossible to exost in this day espacially when you are seperating ancestral land (illegally) and bringing in more immigrant than helping the indegenous. It should happen like it happened in south africa that is the solution IMO. The region has too many religions and is the birthplace of the 3 main religion of today and to have one claiming they are sacred and deserve to live there based on a book written by a man who preached the words of a “god” and using this argument in the 20-21st century is mindblowing. It’s like saying we have more claim to the lands in aftica because we had one commin homosapian ancestor and kenya (i think) was where humanity began. We also forget that the region back then also had different ethnicities and was were the main hunter/gatheres started hatvest. the middle east is not like japan, china and south korea it is not a place where we can be homogenous. We has so many civilizations and conquest that happened there that somehow a homogenous country to try and exist (when all their jews comes from somewhere) and are trying to expell tjose that have a deep connection with their birthplace is wild and toxic. It should be part of history but should not happen again because ot would create one of the biggest rifts yet again (as seen with the UN resiluyion of the Oslo accords that were not respected by mostly the israeli government) and will divide society more. The brainwashing needs to stop in both the west and israel and american jews (or wherever they come from) should stop coming because they think they have a bigger right to the land then a native. And this should also hopefully start a discussion about the natives trive in the US territories including alaska and the polynesian group. It’s starting in canada (not enough) but it’s starting.

I'm sure there are plenty of POC in the US who held deep resentment against white people, and there might even have been some truy terrible acts committed because of that. My knowledge of the existence of Gideon Levy dates back to the 70s when I was still in high school. We obtained information about him at the time from certain specialist magazines and we could not even benefit from a photo of him to personalize him in the flesh. His articles were widely read and appreciated, and I myself keep graffiti in my memory several articles of him which helped me form a value judgment on the Israeli politics of the time. We were so impressed by his thinking and his courage, because he was the only Israeli capable of denouncing certain racist or criminal acts either by his government or by his fellow citizens. For this he enjoys an exceptional aura and unparalleled respect in both Moroccan intellectual and student circles. But since I had become a print journalist like him, I had begun to harbor certain doubts about his intellectual health; asking me a bunch of questions about its contradictory facets; because how is it possible for a talented journalist; who is at the same time a writer, to accept colonization? to live under the protection of an apartheid regime? to support the daily massacre of Palestinians? to never deny the lie maintained around the expulsion of the Jews from Palestine that another Jewish writer has denied with supporting evidence? And not to leave Palestine to save his reputation as required by professional ethics and the ethics of belonging to the family of writers? I must admit that the Analyzes of the historian Sclomo Sand are of impeccable clarity and that this intellectual is much more sincere; whose presentations are credible and scientific. Sclomo Sand does not go out of his way to tell the truth and from then on we understand why he is purposely put on the back burner; because his remarks disturb Zionists who do not like to hear the truth about the occupation. Sclomo Sand says he searched all the libraries for a single book on the expulsion of the Jews from Palestine two thousand years ago but found nothing. In contrast to this thesis, Gideon Levy's thesis is not clear at all.....

When I was young I read Primo Levi's book "If this is a man". Strangely, the scene he described in that book that shocked me the most was the one where he had been interviewed by a German officer. The man had spoken to him calmly but with what seemed the absolute conviction that Levi was an inferior being! I could not believe it was possible to believe such a horrific thing. It scared me even more that the horror of german oppression and death camps. Dehumanization is the greatest of horor a person can inflict on another Human being, because it leads to all other horrors.

He should be the Prime Minister of Israel then so many wrongs will be righted. First and foremost, the Israelis will be rightly educated and they will be rightly guided in their deformed thinking about the Palestinian people. And secondly, the Palestinian people will be given equal rights and will be treated humanely with honour and dignity and this will bring about peace and harmony in Palestine.
