The headshot feature is only present on one of his guns. It's not quite enough to kill pretty much anyone who's at full HP but it can still be quite powerful at mid to close range. The downside is that it is a lot weaker than his default gun if you can't consistently hit headshots.

Good thing there's also another gun that allows you to do the same damage but without even doing headshots, just for doing the things that spies do normally

If your jealous of Spy's stock Butterfly Knife, imagine what his other knives (and watches of invisibility) can do: Knives - Big Earner: Allows you to move faster on a successful backstab. However, your health is lowered to 100. - Conniver's Kunai: Your health is lowered to 70, but backstabbing any enemy player transfers all their health to yours. - Your Eternal Reward: Immediately disguises as the person you backstabbed, their body disappears and their death won't show up in the kill-feed. However, disguising manually (via the disguise PDA) consumes your entire cloak meter. Watches - Cloak and Dagger (the one in the video): Cloak is drained ONLY on movement. Meaning you can stay invisible for a long time as long as you stand still. - Dead Man's Ringer: When you get hit by any sort of damage with this out, three things will happen: > You instantly cloak. > You drop a fake corpse of yourself on the battlefield, also announcing it in the kill-feed. > You gain resistance to fire and bullet damage while invisible.

You forgot to add that the Big Earner fills up your cloak meter by 30% with every backstab you get and that the Dead Ringer also gives you afterburn immunity when under the effects of it while also giving you a 3-second speed boost to run away.

Fun fact: Spy's knife dosn't have a set backstab damage, it does 5x the victims current HP. Meaning it's one of the few things that can kill people using 'infinite' hp glitches.

actually it deals twice the victims health, and is always crit boosted (3x damage) resulting in 6x the victims health

Ngl spy although having the most satisfying way to kill your enemies with a single backstab, spy is also has the highest skill ceiling in the game in my opinion It may look easy to play as him, just simple go invis and get to the back of the enemy But the moment u fail a backstab that victim of yours will start turning around and kill you Don't forget that TF2 is nearly a decade and half old game, so hitregs might fuck you over

personally i'd say sniper has a higher skill ceiling than spy. landing head shots on highly mobile targets consistently is extremely difficult, even the best snipers still miss head shots, so there is nearly infinite room to improve.

Both of you are confusing skill ceiling, the highest skill level that any given build allows, with skill floor, the minimum skill level necessary to be effective with said build. The reason why I put "build" instead of "class" is because Battle Medic (ze healing is less difficult than ze hurting, so you should instead focus on healing ze men who vil kill ze enemy), Pure Demoknight when ranged weapons are permitted (melee-only, enough said), and Pure Trolldier (you exchanged the ability to gib and your shotgun for a stupid shovel and likely some Mario shoes), for example, have much higher skill floors than ie stock.

If seeing someone use a class inefficiently bugs you then casual TF2 would drive you crazy. It's not uncommon to see an engie build a teleporter entrance and exit right next to each other then just use it repeatedly himself while his sentry gets unimportant kills.

I mean sure, Sombra lacks an instant kill...but she doesn't need it at all. The ability to turn of enemies abilities is insanely strong in a gameplay sense, especially against targets that fully rely on them to do much of anything (Reinhardt, Doomfist, Tracer (arguably), other Sombras, etc.) Hell in OW 2 her hack has been changed to 1 second but you do increased damage to enemies who've been hacked AND it provides your team Wall Hacks on them. Sombra is INCREDIBLY strong as a character. Spy has been talked to death in recent years as the weakest class in Team Fortress 2, since he relys on not just your own skill, but relys on being able to fool others, and since spy checking is such a common practice these days, its a tough life for average spies. Hell, even if you do things right, Team Fortress 2s melee hit reg is infamous especially with backstabs.
