I've loved Zapp's ever since I was a little kid. Gator Tators were my favorite chip growing up, and they are still my favorite chip as an adult. It was great to have the new Voodoo flavor when it came out, and I'm enjoying all the additional flavors that have came out since, like Voodoo Heat and Evil Eye. I think I prefer Evil Eye over Voodoo Heat, but they're both really good. Evil Eye has some sort of nostalgic taste to them. I think they taste similar to another kind of hot chip that I really loved, but Kettle Style, and I love them. Gator Tators will always be my favorite though. I was born the year after Zapp's was founded, and I like to think I was eating them out of the womb. :P They have always been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. It's crazy to think I'm passionate about a chip, it's really weird. I'd never say something like this for a food normally.

how the hell does that inspector work? I'd be interesting in learning the mechanics behind that. It doesn't sound like it should work that simply. If it works like it sounds, it seems like it would be convoluted for unreliable results. I'd have to know where exactly the machine is separating the chips, and how it's separating them. I mean, I can imagine it working, but it seems like it would be incredibly expensive to keep up and manage...but even then it wouldn't be completely reliable...but that's in my imagination. I don't see where or how the separation is occurring here. Like, what kind of processor does it use? When was it constructed? I'm really not buying it lmao. I want to see it first-hand, it doesn't sound like it should work. TBH I don't think you'd need it to begin with, as the overall quality of the base chip seems like it would have to do with the initial slicer and conveyors during cooking.

Usually an optical sorter has some type of scanner to detect product that is not the same color. Then jets of air blow each chip out. Pretty gnarly technology, and it’s hard to grasp really. I was watching and episode about salt, I know, exciting, and an optical sorter was blowing out little tiny black specs of salt after mining and it was just amazing to see
