This is how you know a business is proud of their product. They show you how it's made from start to finish. Nick's is the best. They're one of the only companies that realizes we want to see all of this stuff and learn about leathers and the construction of boots. Most companies keep all of that a mystery (I'm looking at you Alden). This is why Nick's is going to keep rising in popularity.

As a retired guy, these Travelers are my favorite Nicks boots. I don't really have a need for super heavy duty, fireproof, take a year to break-in boots. These Travelers look perfect for my needs at this point in my life. I really like that 1964 Brown leather, too. Thanks for an interesting, and well made, video!

All my boots have regular heels but would like to know if you have a link or could you explain the advantages or disadvantages of the flat style Vibram soul (like on these boots) compared to your typical heeled boots? & why flat souls are becoming more popular? THX
@zschambill3 жыл бұрын
From person experience the heel-toe transition is smoother on a flat style sole compared to heeled boots. Arch support might be a little bit lacking but that can be fixed with insole inserts.
@TerryManitoba3 жыл бұрын
@@zschambill Good to know. I spend almost all my summers in flat soled barefoot sandles and no heeled sneakers never tried a boot with flat soles. I should try a pair Nicks boot with a wedge sole? (maybe a pair of Wesco Engineers)
@TraceyAllen3 жыл бұрын
They are for standing on concrete all day.
@bobsmith-ji2uh3 жыл бұрын
They good for working on hard surfaces. They don't pick up and track dirt and mud from the outside. They have more total contact space with the floor so they're good for mechanics and roofers. They dont have a heel to get caught on a rivet or bolt so iron workers use them. I'm a building maintenance guy. I think wedge soled boots are the best for guys that are doing most of their work indoors.
@TerryManitoba3 жыл бұрын
@@bobsmith-ji2uh A shop I know has special ordered some Whites Engineer Wedge soled boots & am considering them when riding my motorcycle.
