Zackley, you can tell that Miguel takes pride in his work, you don't see that very often these days, and you see it less and less with the younger generation. . If I was a rich man I would be running one of Miguels works of art on my car, meantime I have bills and children. Kudos to VMP for a fantastic product and workforce.

Similar to how svt used to do with their hand built engines in the gt500 and cobras etc. On my 07 gt500 it says "5.4 liter 4v shelby gt500 hand assembled with pride" and it has the signature of the two techs who hand built the engine on a little black on the valve cover. My 97 cobra was also like this that would be a cool addition to the vmp blowers.

Great video, that looks like a quality part and quality assembly! Curious question; I realize for a product to be successful it has to be producible at a reasonable price for the market. Can you talk at all about the cost differential between the press fit shaft, and converting that to a splined shaft? Aside from the cost benefit of press fit, are there any technical advantages to press fit vs splined in this application?

What's the differences between VMP, Magnuson, Whipple, Roush, Saleen, Eaton, Hennessy, Kenne Bell, Supersnake and the Jet Cobra Supercharger?
@kristiadihartanto26235 жыл бұрын
One thing that i know for sure is the brand itself. And for Eaton, they are oem part, not aftermarket and they're Roots type supercharger on most of their products. Supersnake is a type of a Mustang car produced by Shelby. Cobra Jet is a type of a Ford Mustang that is race ready (drag racing) from the factory. Saleen is a car brand. Hennessey is a tuning company based in Sealy, TX, USA.
@Mr.Beastforpresident5 жыл бұрын
Kristiadi Hartanto Right, but what's the differences in the Superchargers themselves for them all to want to make their own? Why would so many companies want to make the same style supercharger for one engine? And what makes one brand better than the other? I guess my point would be that just because someone would modify cars doesn't mean they go out and make & design their own supercharger unless they feel they can make it better, otherwise why do it? All of these brand superchargers are the same style intake mounted, so I'm wondering what's the engineering differences? Bearing style better? Is one brand more efficient than the other? Is one more reliable? They all aren't equal, if they were then it would be most logical to buy the cheapest one. Many Channels on KZbin do comparisons on sports cars but no one yet compares all superchargers for one car. Nor do these companies ' Market ' there product in a way that shows what makes there product different, what makes their product better than the competition. If I designed a supercharger I would educate the customer of what makes my product better.

Great video that was very interesing but can you explain why your supercharger is so much cheaper than a magnusun? $3,500 for VMP and $6,500 for the magnusun when they are built buy the same people?? Something isnt adding up.
@VMPPerformanceTV5 жыл бұрын
In the ford market head unit upgrades are very popular because the blower comes off the manifold. Dodge and GM make their supercharger, intercooler, and manifold all one piece so you have to replace everything when you upgrade. Replacing everything is why it costs so much more.

Vmp performance nice video. But it's eating at me there are no assembly instructions to reference. Parts are sitting in egg crates, all parts should be in seperate bins with part numbers on them. Torque specs should be pointed out in a instruction diagram. Obviously the guy knows what he is doing. But as a person who spent 15 years doing manufacturing I cringe watching him dig around in those egg crates for small parts etc. Looks bad.
