Why does does playing at a different tempo make Jacob "a fun, wholesome moof" when it makes me "an idiot" and "the worst pianist in the string quartet"?
@laelmilum64332 жыл бұрын
Because Jacob's worshippers think he is God's gift to music for some reason. I guess its his absolutely magical voice and unparalleled grasp on all things music. 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄

Try making your own song :) it might make you seen less of an idiot

I love how clear the sheet music and animations are in your videos, it makes it way easier to see what's going on. Love this video and Jacob's music!! 😁

Infinitely more impressive: singing at the same time.

Wow, if you told me that was jibberish I would have believed you. I have to concentrate so hard to get atypical rythm patterns and this guy just does some shakes while goofing around and singing and boom he has created something I would need a solid 15 minutes to replicate

Someone walk into a music shop and see a tamborine... Someone: "Sir, I like this one! Is it hard to play?" Sir: "Well, it depends..."

That is not the drum groove being played
@leonwaves2 жыл бұрын
Right, i decided to focus on tambourine here. But it is the simplest groove version of this section of the song based on his original

i didn't like the rhythm people with a lot of talent start out thinking more complex equals better, feel a need to show off but that doesn't make good music necessarily. he'll come around
@Marv-bg8uy2 жыл бұрын
"I didn't like the rhythm" = 'I'm too dumb to understand whatever happened'...
@leonwaves2 жыл бұрын
This isn’t how he normally plays this song. This was one improvised tambourine moment and it flew over my head live. He’s just having fun on stage while still keeping time in a strange placement within a 7/8 bar

I have officially decided the kid just doesn't play by any rules at all, and that's why he gets away with all this shit. I think he just never cared to begin with, and now he has to know what he's doing to justify to us lol
@JXter_7 ай бұрын
Yeah I mean, it wasn't really until recently in human history that we ever saw the need to 'justify' certain things in music. No one back in ye olden days thought about music as a science, it was just what it was. It's very easy to fool yourself into thinking that music is more complex than it really is after learning theory because we want to explain everything we can with it, but you will find that many professional musicians do not think about what they're playing so analytically. That's why we get stuff like this - it's all feeling, not thinking.
