Wasn't this just a fantastic interview? Janet's passion is contagious. If you enjoyed this, you really should purchase a copy of her book, His Word in my Heart: geni.us/his-word-janet-pope

Good morning! This is Sheela again from Jamnagar, India. Here is my story ,I was born a hindu ,but in a broadminded family.went to Jewish Girls School n then to Loreto college....so you see Jesus just made my foundation strong...and gradually I got drawn to Jesus...the Bible....read the Gospels and it was so clear and so true...seek the truth and the truth will set you free was totally wow...now ,where I live does not have a group ,study or help...I want to get into Bible real deep.I keep reading but I want a passion like Janet pope...I pray that happens.

Hey Sheela, I hope you’re able to find a local church or strong believers to connect with where you’re living. If not, it sounds like you’re in a great place to be a witness for God! In the absence of a local group, there are plenty of online groups that you can try (but they don’t replace in-person community!). For example, we have an online community for people who are memorizing Scripture here: www.biblememorygoal.com/join/

Wow good to see Janet pope here her book was the first book I read on scripture memory and this is the first interview have seen of her, thanks Josh for bringing her. My dear brethren I need your prayers and encouragement my scripture memory journey has really been so poor, am a homeschool mom in Spain and working from home as well, the last one year has been miscarriage upon miscarriage of a truth loosing more than two pregnancy is very painful well God’s grace is sufficient for me and my household, my husband is still very doing well on his scripture memory both in Spanish and English, seeing him do that encouraged me a lot and I too can do better. Please brethren put us in your prayers

That so difficult to hear. My wife and I have had our own miscarriage and know how hard that can be. Just remember, as Janet reminds us here, that our measure of success is not how many verses we memorize, but how much quality time we spend getting to know God.

She's awesome! After reading her book in 2016, I have memorized 33 chapters of the Bible! But it's a challenge to review consistantly, but it's definitely a life changing discipline!

That’s so cool to hear! I know how difficult it is to review - I feel the same way. But I also think it’s worth keeping it in long term memory 👍🏻

Wow, that was inspiring! If I memorize scripture to just meet a “goal” or because I feel it’s a good discipline for a Christian, that’s one thing. But if I memorize scripture to know the Lord in a more intimate way, this brings a whole new excitement and meaning to it. I’m going to get her book. Thank you for introducing me to this sister in the Lord with such a beautiful spirit about her!

Thank you for having her on your show… Memorization has been challenging my whole life but it is especially difficult for me now because in 2019 I had a traumatic brain injury. BUT God! He put it on my heart in a big way so now I’m on this journey. I’m reading Janet’s book now. It’s so practical and accessible. Thank you both for letting God work in your lives. It’s happening… it’s like Psalm Ps 1:3 like “..a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season …I also relate to just thinking about “me” way too much and get excited how having Bible memorization as goal changes everything!!

I am so happy to see Janet Pope here and her book inspired me to start the journey to memorize scriptures. Thank you for sharing this interview video! The goal of memorizing scriptures is to walk with God, have intentional pursuit of God, and renew my mind by trading God’s thoughts for my thoughts. That is also my PASSION to continue memorizing His Words.
