My Dad & I went to Long Beach fleet week once and couldn't find our car. I was pretty sure we forgot where it was but he thought it was stolen. I convinced him not to report it right away since it would be a bold crime to steal a car in an area crawling with the police, the military, and the military police. We found it after searching for about 45 minutes. Very fun day though.

Because if it is stolen, the first 48 hours are crucial to recovery. Many car thieves break vehicles down they steal, for the parts as all the parts are worth more than the whole. This is especially true for older vehicles that lack today's anti theft systems and have more versatile parts
