FYI, I was a Christian for 20 years and Sunday school teacher. The deeper I read the NT and try to practice it, the more problems I discovered in it. But I was steadfast, because that was the only way I knew. I came to the conclusion through my study and deep contemplating that the Jews must know more, and to thoroughly understand the NT, you have to ask the Jews for the missing pieces, otherwise Christianity will collapse on it self. That’s why I am glad that Rabbis are willing to share their knowledge on KZbin. And then I saw the true light and got answers to my years long questions.

@@stevenxiaofenghuang Well, what is sure is that Judaism doesn't answer anything, as there is no temple left to do the atonement. M. singer just cares to protect his Jewish culture, way of life, inner ring in society. He certainly doesn't care about truth, considering how he deliberately misquotes and misrepresents the Gospel. So, what problems did you find in the Christian faith?
@stevenxiaofenghuang7 ай бұрын
You should study more and be more informed. There is no temple needed for atonement. What you need is to confess your sins directly to G-d. There are numerous problems in Christianity. E.g. the self-defeating doctrine of the trinity. If one doesn’t get the trinity doctrine right, one is not believing in the Christian god, but another god. But the trinity is ultimately a mystery, thus its content is un-understandable. But if one cannot understand which/what god to believe, one cannot be saved. You get it the point? To be clear! one cannot fall back on the excuse that it is a mystery and not contemplate further. If one is satisfied with the simple answer, I can assure that such a person is not a true Christian and not really saved, because one does not care in what god and in which Jesus he is believing in.

In Orthodox Judaism there is the concept of guarding your eyes and to not get angry. Or controlling your anger as you said. The concept is that you can do all these things little by little. G-d gave us the mitzvot so we could do it.

The authenticity of Moses is based on the public revelation at Sinai: God revealed Himself to the entire nation of Israel, at least three million people, and proclaimed before them the Ten Commandments. The entire Jewish people personally experienced that revelation, each individual in effect becoming a prophet, and each one verifying the experience of the other. With their own eyes they saw, and with their own ears they heard, as the Divine voice spoke to them, and also they heard God saying, "Moses, Moses, go tell them the following ..." They did not receive the occurrence of that event and accept it as some claim or tradition of an individual, but they experienced it themselves. That public revelation, therefore, authenticated the bona fide status of Moses as a prophet of God, and the Divine origin of the instructions he recorded in the Torah. That, and that alone, is the criterion for the belief in, and acceptance of, Moses and his teachings, as God said to him, "I will come unto you in a thick cloud that the people may hear when I speak with you and will also believe in you forever" (Exodus 19:9).

Paul claimed Abraham was chosen because of a verse that says Abraham believed in God's promise & it was considered righteousness (Genesis 15:6), ie: "faith alone". But the Creator Master of the Universe says He chose Abraham because he kept all of God's "Keepings, My commandments, My laws & My Torah's" Genesis 26:5, & God says that the Torah's laws were given to the Jews "for their own good, to be kept for all of time, and that THAT will be considered righteousness in His eyes" Deuteronomy 6:24&25. False prophet paul said the law is a curse (galations 3), but the Creator Master of the Universe warns (Deuteronomy 11:26-28) that the curse is straying from keeping His commandments, that the blessing is keeping the commandments, that "the curse" is worshipping a god "you have not known of" ie: any new theology ie: jesus/christianity. God Who foresees all, wrote for us that any "new", what nor we or our forefathers knew of (Deuteronomy 11 verses 26-28, Deuteronomy 13 verse 6, Jeremiah 44 verses 1-5), is the definition of idolatry and the epitome of "the curse". King David made the biggest psalm in all of psalms, psalm 119, to express his extreme love and obsession for the Torah and His commandments, that psalm alone will make pauls bones roll in its grave, same with Psalm 19:8-12 "The Torah of YYVH is PERFECT, it restores the soul...the commandments of YHVH are upright and gladden the heart, the commandments of God are pure and enlighten ones eyes...His commandments are all truth and correct, they are MORE PRECIOUS than gold and all riches and are sweeter than honey and drippings of the honeycomb, Your servant has been very careful to keep them, because in their observance is TREMENDOUS REWARD". The commandments sanctify the Jewish people "So that you remember & do all of My commandments so that you shall be holy to your God" Numbers 15:40. Christians are SEVERELY brainwashed by a false prophet and suffer because of total ignorance of hebrew scripture. Paul said the torah is too hard to keep and deceptively doesn't quote the end of the verse from Deuteronomy 30:14 which says "because the matter (the Torah spoken of in previous 2 verses) is very close to you, in your mouth and heart that YOU CAN KEEP IT" meaning, that it is not difficult, it is keepable, as orthodox jews (not the sinners and non observant jews) DELIGHT in keeping His commandments and have kept them for 2000 years despite nonstop persecution, yet paul DECEPTIVELY leaves that part out when quoting this verse (Romans 10:6-8) bc he was not honest, he was crooked, a wicked bitter con-artist who fought with everyone, got along with no one (but women), and took advantage of the fact that whoever he preached to didnt know hebrew nor scripture, and now a third of the world is guilty of cheating on God "have no other Gods."

Paul's point was that mankind is not capable of perfect righteousness of their own efforts, as "there is not a good man who always does what is righteous and never sins." If you also believe that anyone who breaks any of the commands is "guilty of breaking the whole law," you then find yourself in a situation where you can be guilty, but never righteous. The point of righteousness by faith is not that you struggle to keep the law and fail, but rather that you do good works because you love God and your neighbor. The problem a Jew has is that because the mitzvot are commanded, he can be obedient, but never loving toward God.

The more I listen to Jewish wisdom, the more it makes sense -- I have Asperger's syndrome, I need consistency and logic, and Judaism seems to present this. Not sure I have the capacity to go through the conversion process - crap with languages and don't fancy the snip, lol - but I do have a lot of respect for my Jewish friends and what the religion represents. Again, thank you for your channel.

Jesus was raised a Jew, preached a decidedly unorthodox form of Judaism (I don't mean orthodox in the sense practicing Jews use the term), went to the cross a Jew. He thought Judaism was the only true religion. However. He did not think being a Jew was either necessary for salvation, or sufficient. Many pagans would be saved for their good deeds, many Jews would be damned (or more correctly, annihilated) for their lack of them. What religion you profess, what doctrines you espouse--meaningless to God. The story of the Sheep and the Goats tells us that he believed all God asks is what have you done for your fellow beings. It's amazing to me how few Christians, or Jews for that matter, recognize this about him, when he was hardly subtle about it. You will not be saved by your words, by what you pretend to believe. Your beliefs are expressed by your deeds alone. The sheep don't need him, they are already saved. The goats won't listen, they are too self-involved, there's nothing he can do for them. His message was meant only for those who have not yet made up their minds, who might be persuaded to mend their ways. This is not the practical basis for a religious institution--and the Kingdom he preached has not come, which I believe would have surprised and saddened him. So Christianity could not long continue to function on that basis. But Judaism, for all that he believed in it, was equally corrupt, often violent, and he certainly would not have been a Muslim, since it was based on military conquest from the start. But he would have seen the sheep in all faiths--and those who have none at all, but still insist on being kind,generous, selfless. And I see elements of this type of belief in Judaism--the ideas of Hillel the Elder. It was primarily from that form of Judaism that his ideas sprang. But Judaism is many things, as is Christianity, as is Islam, as are all religions. When you get a lot of people professing the same basic set of beliefs, their true nature will be revealed in how they try to practice them in daily life. Most of us are terrible at it. And this would not have surprised him at all. Many called. Few chosen. Jesus was a Jew. And it was Judaism that inspired him. But also, at times, disappointed him.

Hello friend. You might enjoy the original Aramaic texts about Jesus. You will be amazed by this apocryphal (secret) book transcribed by the Rabbis of the Day. Rebbe Yitzhak Kaduri knew the truth. Goodluck and God bless you my friend 🙏

@@REX-INRI-JESUS I'm sure such texts did exist in the earliest days of Christianity (though most early Christians were not very literate, as was true of most Jews as well--the earliest followers of Jesus were all raised Jewish and went on considering themselves Jewish. Once the work of converting pagans began, Greek was more useful, so that's why Paul, a Pharisee, used it. If someone claims to have found such, I'd be extremely skeptical--people fabricate texts all the time, today and in the past. Often these forgeries are quite convincing, but forgeries they remain. The Rabbi you mention seems to have predicted the Messiah would come--and said he'd met him. He died in 2006. Very tardy, this Messiah. I revere the teachings of Jesus--and the Jewish teachings that influenced him at the time. But it seems Messiah is always coming, and somehow never gets here. We better see to saving ourselves. Jesus clearly believed the way to do that was to treat every around you, regardless of faith, the way you would wish to be treated. Being Jewish woudld not in itself save you--neither would being pagan automatically consign you to Gehenna, where your soul would be destroyed. He believed the separation of the Sheep from the Goats was coming within the lifetimes of the people he spoke to. So much like Rabbi Kaduri, he was, shall we say, premature. I am a Lapsed Catholic, sir, and quite content with my religion. :)

There are 'lost gospels (the gnostic gospels as they are sometimes called) that have been rediscovered. They are not in Aramaic. And they are from centuries after Jesus. Good evidence for how Christian thought was evoving, but not likely to reveal to us what Jesus really did and said. Lumpkin can publish any shit he likes, but I"m only interested in real scholarship. @christopherlyons5900 Ok, the Super Gospel is a compilation of the original Aramaic texts diligently translated into English over ten years of cross-referencing and confirming their authenticity. You'll be amazed at the information contained within. The problem many Rabbis have with the New Testament is the many languages they are translated into and errors being made. The understanding that internal desire carries moral weight in the Torah can be supported by examining the commandment “lo tachmod” (“you shall not covet”) in Shemot (Exodus) 20:14 and Devarim (Deuteronomy) 5:18. While Rashi interprets that coveting involves subsequent actions, other commentators, such as Ibn Ezra, suggest that the commandment focuses on the internal state of one who desires something forbidden. He explains that the Torah instructs a person to shape their mindset so that even the desire does not arise in their heart, highlighting the spiritual significance of one’s thoughts. Moreover, the concept of yirat shamayim (fear of Heaven) transcends physical actions and includes the purity of one’s intentions. The Talmud (Yoma 29a) states that sinful thoughts can, in some respects, be more severe than the deeds themselves because they reflect the internal inclination of the heart. Thus, there is a Jewish tradition that recognizes the responsibility to combat inner impulses, even if they do not lead to outward actions. When Jesus declares that desiring a woman who is not one’s own is comparable to adultery, he seems to emphasize this fundamental Torah principle: holiness begins in the mind and heart. While traditional Judaism does not directly equate thoughts with deeds in the legal sense, it values the internal struggle against improper desires as a central element of divine service (avodat Hashem). Therefore, Jesus’ statement can be understood as reinforcing the ethical ideals of the Torah, highlighting the ongoing spiritual effort that goes beyond the mere observance of external laws.

In other words, am I making it happen in my head because there are reasons I can't make it happen in reality (social norms, fear of rejection, fear of a divine punishment) or is my love for God and my trust in His Wisdom so great that I don't give the temptation room to fester? It is mind blowing! ❤ Rabbi Tovia Singer So, generations of philosophers, Christians scholars and others … conflicted in the face of our commitment to Judaism, come up with interpretations of Torah that won’t challenge their own cultural, intellectual and religious pride. And corrupting and adulterating the text is the only way they found to wiggle themselves out of the rigorous requirement of Torah . They are afraid to take the plunge and immerse themselves in Torah. They are just visiting, I will think of them as Torah Tourists! Like my French family visiting for 2 weeks, (California) and purposely dismissing my inputs on whichever American oddity they perceive on the ground (and extraordinary feat of circular logic) that now that I am American I know LESS about America than 30 years ago when I came to America! Obviously whichever conclusion they bring back to France doesn’t really matter. Unfortunately, the corruption and adulteration of the biblical text is a weapon against Judaism and the Truth of Torah. So it is serious and it matters to know that it is happening. Thank you Teacher ❤ ❤Much love here for my people in Israel 🇮🇱 Praying for your safety in the shadow of His wings. 🇮🇱

As for the sermon on the mount, there are two wills, God's will and man's will (Genesis 2:17 the first Thou shalt not, introduces man to his own will, and man's will is selfish) the key is to be in alignment with God's will (God is righteousness) and Jesus lived what he preached

And though at one level it’s a legitimate spiritual observation (I.e., something one might find in Buddhism of Gnostic writings) the way it’s presented does have the odor of a later a Pauline sales strategy. I also enjoyed your comment regarding Mark and Paul. If you get a chance, read “Operation Messiah” by historian of espionage in the ancient world Lt Col Rose Mary Sheldon. You’ll find it well researched and interesting, whether or not you accept all of the conclusions drawn.

Jesus continues the conversation with that Jewish man and says you should sell everything and follow Him. Remember Jesus came for the Jews and questioned the oral traditions of Rabbis. Jesus being who He is taught us a way to exceed the righteousness of the Pharasees. Paul on the other hand came for Gentiles. Even Jews agree that Gentiles are not obliged to keep the law..
