How Kaido is On Pace to be the BEST Villain in One Piece

Oda has done a GREAT job with Kaido's character development at this point in time. Not only has Kaido gone past many fans' expectations but also has much more room to develop. Kaido might very well be the best villain in One Piece once it's all said and done.

Honestly out of all the Yonkos, Kaido caught my interest simply just because of the way he was introduces into the story as this big dude with horns trying to kill himself from jumping ten thousand meters into the ground and as I moved on into the story, Big mom referred to him as a “thing” which made me question his race if he was some kind of Oni mixed human which was my theory back in the day and here I am today waiting to get a flashback of him, I hope Oda makes Kaido’s flashback more interesting of a character that he is now.

if Yamatos fruit is the guardian of wano does that mean that the fruit was specifically made for wano? He can read the poneglyphs. the fact he chose wano specifically and he knows not only about joyboy, but he also knows of the sky islands (since he can fly up there i guess) strongly hints towards him being able to read them imo. At the start I didn't really think much of Kaido. He was cool but so was Doffy and he had layers to him. Great charisma and a fantastic villain. Kaidp has shown nuance and mystery and he's quite different from previous villains. I want to see how his character concludes before making a decison though.

Doffy is an out and out villain that encompasses the title villain in all of his being for instance let's put doffy in the same place as kiado and take kiado out what do you think doffy would of done if he had the same kinds of recources that kiado has? He certainly would of killed momo straight away something kiado couldn't do aka kill a child.

The problem I would have with Kaido peeping Odens log to find out Wanos significance is why would Kaido have conquered and made Wano his base DURING Odens adventure. When Oden got back Orochi had taken over as shogun with kaidos backing.

I belive that Kaido's knowledge might be a combination of his heritage as an "Oni" and his time with Rocks. Oda is hitting home too much when it comes to Kaido's ties with giants, going from his horns, to his army of artificial ancient giants, to even the name of his movesets, his combo with BM is straight up a copy from the giant combo back in little garden, and his first CoC named attack "Ragnaraku", wich is a pun with Naraku(shinto or buddhist hell I belive) and Ragnarok(nordic doomsday), it cant be all just a coincidence. As for the Rocks part of the story, I belive Oda is building up Kaido to be pretty much an evil Shanks, they are both former apprentices of major crews, they are both trying to carry the will of their captains and they both went after really important fruits that ended up getting eaten by people that they didnt plan to give it. Kaido and Yamato's flashback will probably be one of the best in the series

I see what you mean when you're talking about Wano. The Ancient Giants may have put Wano together yeeeears ago. I see what you mean! And they may have pulled a part of their island near to Wano in respect. That's a pretty valid theory that I agree with! I would even say that maybe they were cool for a long while, but at one point later down the generations. I'm hoping for a Rocks flashback, in which he tells Kaido about what he knows. Because what if Rocks thought of Kaido as a potential successor to him. Take it step further, what if Rocks had the Yami Yami no Mi and what if when he died (if he did actually die) his soul was devoured into the darkness and thats why Blackbeard knows so much. Also why does everyone forget about Blackbeard having a devil fruit encyclopedia, like I wanna see that.

Maybe Xebec had a father & son type relationship with Kaido. Where Exebec told him more and showed him a lot since he was probably his progidy he probably also told him to be more secretive becuase he knows Lil Lin is conniving. Xebec probably respected and liked WB but he knew WB wasn't fully down with the destroy/takeover the world scheme.

Very interesting topic what came to mind though was while I like the idea of kaido getting the information from Rocks the point that the other yonko don’t know or say anything and that I can’t see them having an “Ultimate” chapter on their ship where Rocks is giving them bombshell facts made me think. And I thought well maybe you have a point that Kaidos fruit was on God Valley but what if there was a betrayal? Big mom just gives cabin boy an OP weapon? Why? And we know that the Rocks crew didn’t play well with each other. What if at the beat down of god Valley it was just that a beat down but the crew maybe big mom with kaido took out their captain took the fruit and kaido got his hands on some of the information Rocks was HOARDING cause you know he wasn’t sharing that with his crew cmon every character (minus whitebeard since he already had it) have one thing in common an overwhelming ambition for power.

Kaido was on a " to be Great" Journey that he was strong enough to stand tall on unlike the rest of Luffy's Villains. That's probably one of his Greatest feats. The ONLY one who has the potential to overcome his status is Blackbeard.
