I'm an Aussie. When I went to the 2014 Pan Pacs, I had a ticket for every session, and I was there to see the Aussies do well swimming against the Americans. When I came away from it, all I could talk about was Katie Ledecky. I've never seen anything like it, her times were just incredible. (it was a rainy few days, and the seating was outdoors, but I will never forget how amazing her swimming was.)

I'm a soon to be. in 1 week a 77 year old male swimmer who has been swimming seriously (not quite up to Katie's workout standards) for 40 years next month. I used to be long distance runner, did 3 Ironman Tris, had to stop running Bec of osteoarthritic hips, have had 4 THReplacements, so the only sport I can do (I miss running so much!) is swimming. I swim about 6 miles per week and do 1 5 mile swim in a pool once a month and have done that since I turned 50. Watching Katie for me has been so mind blowing it hurts. I love her work ethic and her never ending quest for brilliance. That inspires every one of my long swims. Thank you Katie for being you!

It's true Arnie beats her in 200 & 400 at Tokyo 2021..but 800 & 1500, she still ruled supreme. & Paris 2024, she's gonna challenge back Arnie at 200 & 400 coz she's the very best of the best female competitors that ever graces our sports. She is tall for a women at 6 feet but at least she is a true biological female competing against other females. Genetically blessed and competing in swim meets since childhood. Her work outs and dedication have made her a true champion. At least she is not a male pretending to be female to get ahead and win competitions with an unfair biological advantage.
