My sister said the same things. Her hubby had to get up at 4am for work, she didn’t have to get up till 630am, but she said “wake me when you get up” and he couldn’t figure out why she would want that (my sister famously looooves her sleep). But she wanted him to be there for the moment, even tho it was probably too early to take the test. She took it and it was positive and they were both too bleary-eyed and sleepy to process it. That was July 17 this year, so she’s almost 16 weeks now.

I remember the feeling of seeing my positive pregnancy test. My husband and I had been trying for about 3 months. It literally felt like a wave of excitement and fear washed from my head to my toes. I called him at work and he was so excited he almost fell off a roof! We have an 8yr old and 5yr old now. Being parents is the most special thing in the world. Having a little person that is a mix of you and the person you love. It is amazing!

I woke up in the middle of the night about 8 days after I got a positive ovulation test and watched the entirety of sweet home Alabama because I couldn’t go back to sleep, then woke my husband up when the sun started to come up and said “we gotta take a test” and sure enough, positive. I just knew, it was so odd. I was still almost a week from my missed period so it was wild that the test was positive

My mom told me about the moment only she knew she was pregnant (after 8 years of trying and 6 months after adopting my sister.) She said she was so enthralled and just couldn’t believe it, and she thought “I’m the only one who knows.” It’s just a crazy feeling to sit with yourself with such huge news, and hearing your story of waiting on Cody to get home reminds me of my mother. She died in April at 56. God rest her soul, and God bless you for sharing your story. ❤

I got pregnant with my son 11 years ago and the only advice I can give you is that the scariest part is honestly the pregnancy it’s self. You kind of fall into a routine once you give birth and it just becomes part of life after that. Yes, it can be stressful but I found that it’s not nearly as bad as people made it out to be. You get used to sleeping less and start napping with the baby and adjust to it and so on. It’s definitely a big responsibility but most of it is just good old fashioned common sense. You were made to know how to care for children.

I’m currently 7 months pregnant. I didn’t know I was pregnant until 4 months. I was busy working everyday and didn’t think the slightest due to my boyfriend and I having health complications that refrained us from having kids. I always had heavy, irregular periods that I never bothered to track because I always thought “as long as I bleed this month, I’m good” well, I was so busy with work I didn’t bother to realize that I missed my period for what I thought was 3 months. I remember stopping at the store for a test because I had this strong feeling to take a test. Took the test once I got home and my heart dropped when I seen the BFP. I screamed, ran straight to my boyfriend and told him the news. Still very much in shock that I’m pregnant and seeing how my body’s changing and growing a human inside.

Unfortunately, my baby daddy did not have a sweet reaction... maybe cuz even though I'm a first-time mom ... he is a seasoned veteran with two other baby mamas in his figurine collection 😕 guy pressured me to get an abortion and I decided to dump him and keep my son. Best decision ever. No one comes between my son and I. Any single mamas out there who can relate to my story? Anyways I don't wanna be a downer, It just makes me happy to see super solid couples like Kelsey and Cody because they remind me that kind, pure hearted people actually still exist. Thank God for my parents they are helping me raise my son they are also another example of a healthy marriage, which helped me realize I deserve to be better and especially now for my son.

@EA-po7vt good questions. Very valid. I agree with you. I thought the father of my child was a different man. He told me he wanted a child with me. That I would be the best and most beautiful mother in the world. I thought I loved him. He was my fiancé. Once I got pregnant, I realized he was dangerous and not only did he lie to me and not want the baby at all, he tried to provoke a miscarriage. I believe in the nuclear family. My child deserves a great father but he does not need an abusive one. These are obviously less than ideal circumstances but I'm making it work. My child was born 2 months ago and so far so good. It takes a village to raise a child and even though my son's biological father is not a good man, his grandfather and uncle are. Maybe in the future I will marry a man worthy to be my husband and my child's stepfather and love my son as if he were his own but until then I am happily and gratefully a single mother. My son is not set up for failure though. My parents are helping me get back on my feet after my son's father stole everything from me. They're also helping me save money for my son's college tuition. I was not raised in a broken home and neither will my son. That is why I escaped his father.

It sounds silly to a non religious person, but I just want to say that when you don’t know why you do something.
