You do wonder if Drake's just a little jealous of the fact Kendrick gets to take breaks between albums and tours and has such a clearly preferable work/life schedule and family set-up. Because Kendrick doesn't chase the money and more importantly knows he can stay quiet for years and then still be the most relevant thing ever every time he releases something. In the time Drake makes 3 bad albums, Kendrick makes 1 world-changing one. Kendrick's miles better to begin with but this only widen's the gap between them.

Drake fans kill me cause Drake won his beef against meek the same way Kendrick won this beef. Controlling the narrative and dropping the better catchy song. For some reason they can’t handle it. Using all these technicalities to make him the winner that make no sense. Someone said “he dropped last” “Kendrick lied” all these mental gymnastics cause he lost. It was weird lol Kendrick absolutely won and it wasn’t close
@The4s6 ай бұрын
I’m not gonna lie I didn’t think Dot would win simply because since I remember the change in hip hop the antics have been that no one really seems to care about the quality of music or authenticity. I definitely like Drake as an artist but for anyone who came up in the era of Pac and BIG I think we became accustom to that era being dead. Truly impressive what Kendrick did.. hats off to him he deserves the accolades. I will say I was a bit disturbed by the minors situation and I cannot say I knew how many people he ripped off.

I think the only thing you really missed is how much Kendrick turned the Culture against Drake; the industry just followed suit. I mean the embers were already there, so he really just blew on them - but there is so much evidence of the way he cloaked himself in what he eats/sleeps/breathes (culture) continuously throughout. From old schoolers like Teddy Pendergrass and Al Green (good luck getting an Al Green sample normally, but hey - Al knew it was for the culture) to the West Coast banger which was popular for its celebration of all things West (Mustard, beat, flows) as much as it was anything else you pointed to. He stood with the culture and pushed Drake way TF out. Drake was too stupid to understand the angle, and participated fully in the narrative. He used Tupac. He flaunted the jewellery of legends. He brought the slave stuff back. It was F-up after F-up from Drake, and every time this only underlined what Kendrick was pushing. Make no mistake, Drake deserved to lose. And he couldn't have done so to a better representative of the culture. God bless Kendrick Lamar.

I’m an old-school hip-hop fan. Started listening to hip-hop in 1990. Honestly, after the mid 2000s I really thought my days of listening to new artist were over until I discovered Kendrick Lamar, and it opened up a door for me and I realize there were a lot of dope rappers from this generation, but unfortunately most of them weren’t matching the success kind was matching, but Nipsey Hussle, DW flame, Westside boogie, D Smoke, The Horseshoe Gang, Joyner Lucas. …. all of these are our artist I support and think would be good in almost any error. I’ve never could really get into Drake as an artist. I’m not going to lie, I loved “started from the bottom” but that was just that one and I’m not going to pretend I didn’t like it but he’s that type of rapper that I think people that like the harder shit don’t attract to. I think people that like Drake would have also liked Diddy in the 90s or Ja Rule in the early 2000s. Just that flashy pop stuff. I didn’t hate him when I found out he was using ghost writers but he can’t be the goat if other people are writing his best songs. But I didn’t know how much he was actually stealing from the culture because I really wasn’t paying him any mind. If I don’t like an artist, I don’t spend years of my life online arguing with people about them. I just don’t listen to that artist. I never knew when a new album was coming out because I never cared. But Kendrick kicked that fraud to sleep.

i dont know why you think you'd get tomato's thrown for that. i dont know if a single person that doesnt have drakes meat 8 inches down their throat could see it any different. drake fans always point to the numbers when talking about how he is the goat. so lets do the numbers game, to save time we can just look at the last few tracks, but overall any number you'll find is in kendricks favor, generally not even by a small margin. last two tracks, drakes the heart part 6, on its youtube video has 1.7 million DISLIKES compared to only 700k likes, with 20 million views. kendricks not like us 2.7 million LIKES, 26k dislikes with almost 80 million views. so drake had over a 100% dislike ratio, somewhere around a 130% dislike ratio. kendrick had less than a 1% dislike ratio and got 4x more views... family matters, 863k likes, 438k dislikes, 31 million views. meet the grahams, 1.5 million likes, 19k dislikes. that round drake had around a 50% dislike ratio, meanwhile kendrick was just over a 1% dislike ratio. kendrick got 2 million less plays that round, yet still got almost twice as many likes. then dont even look at or mention all of drakes steraming records kendrick crushed. it'd be tough for anyone to see this as anything but total defeat.

The industry threw Drake under the bus because Kendrick exposed something about Drake that can get a lot of them jammed up. Please know that Diddy is not the only big player in the industry involved with what he is being accused of. Hip Hop culture turned on Drake because Kendrick successfully painted him as a culture vulture. It took a while for the culture to accept Em for fear he might be a culture vulture. He had to prove to the culture that he was authentic. You still have some holdouts. Drake lost the culture when he AI’d the voice of a beloved fallen Hip Hop legend. There is no coming back from that with the Hip Hop culture. And it proved what Kendrick was saying about Drake. He does not understand Hip Hop culture. Because if he was, he’d never had used Tupac’s voice in the first place. Drake is “Not Like Us.” This is a huge victory for the culture of Hip Hop.

yeah the way most of drake's 'friends' in entertainment, and almost *none* in hip hop, have kept quiet or even started supporting kendrick is really telling imo. either they're finding out more about his personal life, that has made them back away, or the way he moved during the battle made them see him differently. ngl even i (as someone who's never been a fan, but also didn't know enough about drake to hate him) was surprised by his lack of ability to understand the situation and adjust accordingly... like he's tone-deaf on SO MANY levels now i guess he unfollowed a ton of people that went to the Pop Out concert, or even just spoke highly/are working with kendrick, and then proceeded to follow various women in their lives (one of whom is 18 YEARS OLD!!!). it's insane that he, a man pushing 40, doesn't see how inappropriate and creepy his behavior is... it's actually unhinged af

Wait a minute, so the OVO line is corny? Drake literally said “I’m going to make Kendrick gay.” And you claimed you like that? I’m sorry, but there was too many corny shit coming from Drake. Drake isn’t hip-hop competent. If you really want the proof on who is really the better rapper go watch both of their first freestyles with Kayleigh. Kendrick does a legit freestyle and kills that shit. Drake stutters around unless he pulls his cell phone out and the ad. Lib is so cringe. I was embarrassed in my own house listening to it.

He is also.not the "biggest" rapper ever. Do any of you people who make these videos ever look up numbers? Eminem has sold like 70 million more albums.

Drake must be an egomaniac and terrible person irl because literally how does 50% of the industry hate you off rip?? Kendrick pulled the trigger and finally made it easier for everyone to express their hate towards drake imo. Man had it coming.
