The fact that the guitar actually gets played and we were able to hear it... vs it just being behind glass somewhere in a museum with a little placard with info is already a massive level of justice. This also makes me realize we rarely hear from Kirk. He should speak up more often.

Greeny has already been used to make some of the best blues and blues rock ever. That's great its being used to play iconic Metallica songs. He uses it for a lot of clean tones too.

it does have its own timbre, but idont think the guitar's timbre matters much,i think it's the music that is the most important; however Kirk Hammett is at such a highest level, that he already appreciates those ultimate details with passion

Gary Moore did legendary solos on that guitar RIP and his mate RIP Phil Lynott legend's. I think Parisienne Walkways by Gary with that big mad long sustained note was that guitar. I think Kirk paid a million for it.....

Looking at Greeny's pickups, the neck pickup is installed upside down. (you can tell from the orientation of the pole pieces) That would explain why it is out of phase with the bridge pickup.

Its not just that, apparently the magnets were messed with as well during a maintenance. Its one of the reasons reverse engineering that middle sound had been so elusive over the years.
