The combine is the equivalent of an IQ test. Both are terrible ways to measure the capabilities of people.

The 40 yard dash isn't always the best measurement for every position and every athlete. it is a TOOL but not The Bible. There are players who run low 4.4s or high 4.3s who don't make it in the league. There are players who run 4.6 who are very quick and make it in the league. Kyren demonstrated his vision, instincts and speed. That speed was good at full speed. He takes a couple steps before he can be at full speed and that speed fits in the league. This makes the 40 time not as good. His film shows he plays at his full speed with pads on and demonstrates his other attributes. Kyren did great in his interviews like almost all Notre Dame graduates. His character and utmost commitment to his craft is also desirable. If he had 4.4 speed that would only bring him up so far. The one trait that teams should consider is his availability/injury risk. Someone who is smaller in stature does correlate with a higher rate of injury. The Rams minimized their expense by getting him in the 5th round. If he stays healthy, The Rams will look like geniuses. The Rams have some studs on offense. A future number one receiver and an already number one running back. I’m very interested to see how Stetson Bennett turns out for them. It also makes me wonder how many more studs are on this team and how many more are yet to come.

Stetson may never play another snap for the rams, he is off the roster due to personal reasons. Rumors of addiction issues. He’s an old rookie Qb and he just missed his first season.

Im sorry but Breece Hall is the best RB in that class. Breece tore his ACL last year and was well on his way to AFC ROY award. And he was a byproduct of a horrible and predictable offense and also a notoriously bad O-line. The jets had the most different starting 5 offensive lineman in the season.

Like so many great players, the measurable stats don't tell you the story. A few things you missed in this are the fact that Kyren Williams was a Rams fan growing up, his idol was Steven Jackson and he always dreamed about playing for the Rams someday. When his dream came true, he dedicated all his purpose to being the BEST version of himself for the Rams. The NFL combine can't measure a guys heart.

A lot of people are hearing names like Kyren Williams and Puka. But a lot of other people are missing out on two other rams rookies(because for fantasy it focuses on individuals for offense but not defense)... Bryon Young and Kobie turner (the conductor). Kobie leads the rookies this year with 9 sacks and Bryon was tied in 3rd with 7th. All 4 guys were drafted later than 3rd round.

I am glad we have Kobie but I’m pretty sure he is getting the Aaron Donald effect. When he is getting double teamed it makes life easier on other D line players. Look how many players played a year with Donald and got huge contracts from other teams and then went back to normal

@@larryviars6199 I do agree with that. But he is on a rookie contract. So if he performs and learns he will earn his money in a few years. I think a lot of the defense is the AD effect. That's why I am a bit annoyed that announcers keep talking about Raheem morris. He was alright as a DC before the rams. BUt now hes a genius? Look at Brandon Staley...he was the same way. AD can make a lot of defensive schemes work because olines have to prioritize him.
