Using the ratchet straps for tension was a great strategy. I've struggled with dents very similar to that one.

Pulling with the straps is a great idea. I will try that. I use plenty of glue pull tabs that are plastic this is like using a frame machine. Thanks for sharing.

How did you take off the glued on straps without taking off the paint?

Regular 91% iso rubbing alcohol. The glue pops right off when you pull it a certain way after spraying some alcohol. On cars that have been painted after the factory if the painter didn’t follow every step properly then you can pull the paint off. So generally if it has been painted you don’t do a glue pull and try to work it with tools from behind. Glue method is the best and if your paint is factory it should not be an issue.
