Chad, can you give me the best answer for this question. Describing the Reacta shine , Reacta gloss, Smooth edge & rough edge If I was to do 3000 finish and these over the top of that. Which should make the finished 5000 to 6500. What will be the differences with reaction.

Shiny = longer and a sharper move at the back end.

Maybe I'm asking a lot but is there a really good 3D graphic representation of all this somewhere? I kinda sorta possibly got the jist of the convo. The numbers swirl. Thank you for the video

What type of layout would you recommend for a bowler with match speed and revs with a P.A.P of 4 1/2 right and 3/8 down. Want a layout for playing straight and one for moving left and hooking the lane. Really appreciate yall

Pin down syms aren't the best idea without balance holes because the core is weaker overall and you will leave a crap load of corners

And also it wouldn't be so drastic of a difference

@@dejabowler873I have a phase 3 that is pin down. Have it right in the ring finger. Causes for a smoother ball reaction and really tames the p3 compared to a p2.

I'm probably going to have it drilled with the pin to the side of the ring finger which will be a little weaker than my Absolute Power and Gem which are both pin above the ring finger. I think that have it go a little longer just like my TNT Infused..

What about a FULL ROLLER set up. I only have one layout.

Pin-to-PAP is really an angle in disguise. We can do the math this way: The radius of the bowling ball is about 4.3". The ratio of P2P to the radius is the angle from the pin in radians. You convert radians to degrees by multiplying by 180 and dividing by π. Or a far easier way is just to divide 90 by 6.75. Either way, you get 13.3 as the factor. Thus P2P * 13.3 = angle in degrees. So a 4.5" pin is approximately 60º down from the pin. A 5" pin is approximately 67º. A 6" pin is approximately 80º. The closer you are to 90º, the less time it has before the ball stabilizes around the PSA, also known as the "high-RG axis". This controls the amount of flare. There's some mechanical dynamics in how flare works that means that P2P placement doesn't have a linear effect on flare. This "slop zone" where the effect is the least is near about 67º, which happens to be the 5" P2P. This is why 5" is a good choice for a lot of bowlers, because it gives the most forgiveness for inconsistency in release.

I wish you would have threw the second ball at the very same spot as the second so we could see the comparison better. Throwing at a different spot doesn't show us that.
