@@Thegreenwolf17 Agree to disagree. When a song is so popular and appeals to the normie pop crowd that only know that one song by that bad, I personally tend to get sick of it, again, not a bad song, I respect and appreciate it’s legacy as an LP staple, but i’m always skipping it.

Second best LP Album of all time. How they transformed it into Reanimation is something no band, ever will be able to replicate.

@@WilVincent88I hated Reanimation at first and the LP JayZ collab I just wanted a new album lol but looking back man they were doing crazy experimental stuff with just one album out. Hybrid Theory is a landmark album, among the nu Metal craze there was a lot of crap and one hit wonders and they stood head and shoulders above most. So happy they have a cemented legacy and kept going and reinvented themselves even if I fell off after Meteora

This album made me the person I am today. I was about 12 or 13 years old when this record came out and for once in my life I didn’t feel alone. I knew someone… somewhere… felt the way I did and I took comfort in that. No other piece of art has had such a profound impact on me even to this day as Hybrid Theory and Meteora

I remember in October of 2000 I was 10 years old. I walked to the small record shop a few blocks from my house just to kill time and take the free demo tapes. I got 2 tapes, one was for this small band called Slipknot and the other was from an unknown band called Linkin Park. It was the first time I ever fell in love with a band. After that I saved my chores money for a couple of weeks. The day hybrid theory came out. My Bbest friend and I walked to the store in the rain and each got a copy. I probably listened to that album 500 times over the next few months. Then when meteora came out... I didn't like it and became a Linkin Park hater lol. Eventually I came back around to liking them and then chester died and now they are forever legends in my head.

I found a burned CD in 2006 that someone had thrown away and it had one LP song ‘Don’t Stay’ and kept it on repeat on a CD player or on the DVD player with the sound all the way up…Most people know Linking Park songs it’s rare to find someone who doesn’t (Well for my age group really not newer gens)

I don’t know how or when I got into LP. I remembering listening to them at home, on the bus ride to school, bus ride home, walking around the city. I listened to Hybrid Theory so many times and their songs were just stuck in my head. I remember one time my mom was trying to wake me up for school and I just started singing the chorus to Pushing Me Away while half asleep. She was like “wtf?” lol I was so embarrassed but that’s just shows how Linkin Park lived in my head and heart rent free.

It's still as perfect 22 years later, listening eversince. However, when i first heard in the end on MTV back then, i knew this is IT, me 13 and this music, a match.....one of millions as it would show. Made my early youth, this band and the album!!! 1love

Still remember getting it at 10 years old for Christmas…blasting this over THPS2 on the Dreamcast and Perfect Dark multiplayer on N64. I would stay up super late just to catch One Step Closer and the Crawling music video, I even recall recording it on my VCR because it was not in crazy rotation on MTV at the time though radio play was crazy for it. I think I first saw them on the Farmhouse music video countdown with Matt Pinfield and my cousin was like these guys are the NEXT big thing….man what a long wait for Meteora to come out after pretty sure I destroyed my family computer trying to download somewhere I belong early on Kazaa….possibly the most 00s millennial rock status I could make

Love this. You don’t mention it specifically in here but I like how Chester shifted from singing into the distorted vocals we know now just by Mike asking him to sing the part they were doing but more aggressively and the unique Chester sound we all know now was what came out, and he just responded with yes that just do that all the time 😂😂😂 saw that in an interview and it made me chuckle, to think the amazing vocals he had that sound so practiced and fine tuned were only made because he was asked to shout instead of sing one time is just funny, we could’ve ended up with a completely different sound if Mike hadn’t asked him to try that, I’m glad he did, this album was the soundtrack to my teens ❤️🔥
