I think you are right, we need someone to be a bit more of an out an out goalscorer. Nunez, he's fantastic, but we do need that pivot. I think you are spot on about the Sala issues. What a travesty it has been he hasn't been in B'Dor contention more often. Yet, I would say, when has the B'Dor been respectful to British based players? The worst example I recall is how Kevin Keegan, arguably past his best, played for Hamburg SV and won it two years in a row. However, during that time LFC were still dominant.

I think in the later seasons of klopp he really didn’t make many tactical tweaks it was just push on the team the do the good things we are good at better aka motivation early klopp tho was definitely making way more tactical adjustments maybe that’s why klopp left which is respectable he wanted the team to win more and maybe some fresh ideas needed

who is the best 9 to play with Mo while at Liverpool? I think we have had great great wing play and wingers but that striker spot seems to suffer as a result. Bobby was great but a false 9 and Darwin has his struggles, Jota probably fits more in that false type of role.

Honestly, I don't understand why some of these commentators still talk about starting players and Squad players. As far as I can tell, Liverpool have two top class left-wingers in Diaz and Gakpo, a squad of 5 midfielders from whom to choose three for any match, two top class left backs, etc. Except for Salah, it really does not make much difference who is on the field when the referee blows the opening whistle. The players just take turns, sometimes starting the first half, or starting the second half, or not playing that much at all. It's just rotation, taking turns

I end up watching most wolves games just to see Cunha ghost past players it’s so satisfying as not many players are capable of it and have the end product as well😅. I certainly agree and I appreciate the complexity of what you’re saying. Though, I’m really talking about the in stadium experience that I have and the relationship with players from other cultures. I can’t speak about L8 because I don’t know enough tbh but my suggestion is more with people making cover all statements about the fanbase which clearly doesn’t have those same issues or using them to enter a conversation which is steeped in class history and often used by racist papers and media outlets to beat people with very different backgrounds and financial situations.

@@LaurenceMcKennaonLFC I definitely agree that any player looking to leave Liverpool will have difficulty finding an elite club that will match their ambitions AND which comes along with a fanbase that will accord them the same amount of patience and adoration as Liverpool's. I certainly am skeptical whether players who've made their careers in Liverpool will find clubs big enough and yet will still play to the exact strengths that made them superstars in the first place. Virgil might continue to do well in most other clubs but Salah and Trent appear to require a more specific system to flourish.

Why can't commentators say it in black and white. Nunez is a failure for LFC. He should be sold as he is taking up a place. He is not putting pressure on anyother player. If the Kop loved him he'd have a song, but he's not achieved enough, I believe in the football intelligence of the Kop and they are getting quieter and quieter about Nunez. His agent needs to be encouraged to get him a club in the summer.
