That's exactly the thing. People may not like his mannerisms on the ball, maybe sometimes he's too calm on the ball which leads to some lazy moments, but he works so hard off it. He's pretty much out of any energy at the end of every game and works so hard. When that joins up with him getting goal involvements and being perfect on the ball it's the best mixture.

Szobo is so involved, he is often the passer before the assist pass is made. His goal threat added per touch or action must be huge - and that is a metric LFC track. The goals will come he just needs to feel he is more the man at times - I think he defers to Mo a little too much at times which creates some hesitation when a first time strike is needed

2 things: Szoboszlai said in a post match interview that Salah screams his name so loud all the time and wants the ball all the time 😂 so that’s probably why he didn’t take the snot himself 2. Mac allister said in a post match interview that he was told in training to stay but he saw when Gakpo had the ball, he knew it was going to Robertson and he decided to make the run forward because he knew the cross was coming in (so basically spot on analysis from you, as per usual)

Tbf while i don't think dragusin is really suited to this style, they got swamped by Liverpool. And don't think it was entirely their fault. Too many players allowed to get free without enough people running back to help out. Tbh since he's not beening used much by Liverpool, i'd take endo to spurs. While we clearly need some better cover in defence someone like endo would be really useful.
@eazyollie937016 күн бұрын
@thehearingaid They were left in the mud tbf, anyone getting left 2v2 with Salah + another is basically done. Dragusin kept shooting up out of the line though leaving a huge gap, if he was picking his moments to do it it would be fine but he seemed to do it constantly. Spurs built into good positions and got Kulusevski in some great positions, he just got shut down by VVD every time until the 65th min when the game was done.

The PL is a much tougher challenge than the Bundesliga. In addition, he had to adapt to a new position, at RB Leipzig, he was a wide playmaker and didn’t have to defend as much. He simply needed time. But he’s starting to find his rhythm and will only get better from here.

I respect you for not wanting to go too hard on Spurs. It is such an easy thing to do when a team has been beaten, all ends up. They are a team still being built, with a number of injuries (far worse than the likes of Arsenal or Man City have had that have been used to excuse them at various times) up against undeniably the best team in Europe at the moment whose style of play naturally looks to exploit every weakness Spurs' tactics has. (And all tactics have weaknesses - Liverpool is just an awful tactical match-up for Spurs: it happens). Sometimes when a superior side hammers a weaker side, it's not because of incompetence by the weaker team - it's because their backs were up against the wall before a ball was kicked _and_ their opponents then went out and also played brilliantly. That said, Salah has got 33 G&A so far this season by Christmas! For context, the next best in the Premier League is Saka with 22. To hammer that home, that is 2/3rds of the amount Salah has. That fraction is truly absurd. Kulusevski has played well, but is nowhere near the player of the season so far.

Errrr I’m not sure what football experience you have… I have an FA Coaches Badge from Bobby Robson… What Liverpool done at Spurs, was so simple it’s difficult to analyse! We played a 4-2-1-3 it’ll come to light soon, but my MOTM again Ryan Gravenberch! Dom Szorbo played a No. 10 role. RG…as he has in 8-9 games now…he pulls 2/3/4 players OUT of position! We attacked down the left, as I’ve never seen Mo Salah, UNMARKED! As much since he joined us, again RG caused this, along with the emerging Gomez. To keep it simple…when driving a car, you don’t look at what your feet are doing…a car doing 100 mph, will burn out much earlier than a car doing 60-70 mph. Slot has slowed us down, and we play heads up with Ryan G. Being the steering wheel…he’s causes absolute mayhem in Centre Mid! And you haven’t even mentioned him…😉 YNWA

This is what Slot many times used against 'lesser' teams. It's just outside the box, but he makes sure this area is overflowed with his players. If played correct, it will always lead to a chance or a goal. I'm not going to tell you more because I want Liverpool to the the title. But Slot has many other tricks up his slevve.

Tottenham lacked any intensity for about 55 minutes, felt Sarr Bussouma and Maddison were second to every 50-50 and were played through so easily. Lack of pressure when liverpool had the ball meant liverpool could just play balls over the top non-stop and put their makeshift backline. Kulusevski was trying to do it on his own. He was the only one up to the standard tonight for tottenham.
@user-wg5sp6ei7l17 күн бұрын
To be fair, 7 games in 22 days with 14 fit senior players will probably account for a drop in intensity. @NomadH0216 күн бұрын
Remember at the start of the game when salah had all the time in the world to pass to szoboszlai for an open goal and shot instead? Szoboszlais situation was completely different he was mid stride with the keeper coming at him your instinct is always to go around the keeper in that situation and if you played football you'd know that Objectively wrong comment, szoboszlais issue is exactly that he's too selfless
@jpgduff16 күн бұрын
@NomadH02 Nope. Ir's not objectively wrong in any sense. Same scenario. Different result. He broke into the box twice. The first one he missed througj taking a poor touch past the keeper and shanking his shot. The second one, he got into *exactly* the same position and played Salah in instead. So he took one himself and missed. He passed the second, and Salah scored. The Salah chance was a misplaced pass from Forster with Szoboslai and Diaz inside him. He took a poor shot and the chance was lost. There's literally no comparison to be made between the Salah chance and the first Szoboslai chance. So "objectively wrong' is objectively false lol. Try again. Szoboslai's problem isn't' that he's too unselfish - it's that he's been poor on the ball/inconsistent. Granted, he has been asked to do a lot of hard running for the benefit of the team but that's not the point. This is the first match this season where his quality is highlighted over his work rate.

Numbers clearly shows, and we can objectively say that all in all Szoboszlai is very selfless, and sometimes he even gets the critics that the last pass was unneccessary, he should have shot instead. @d.a.bolyos9340 Look at the comment before yours. I've said nothing close to what you've made up in your own tiny mind. He is an incredibly unselfish player. What I said was that this is the first game in a long time where people are talking about his quality; his ability on the ball INSTEAD of his unselfish running, movement and work rate. Or is that too hard for you to understsmd. He took a chance himself and scored. He went for one and missed. He then adjusted and in the next move where he broke througj he played in Salah. So not only is he a great player. He works incredibly hard and is unselfish. BUT he is also intelligent and adaptable with a great game I.Q. But yeah, go off queen. Spurs need to show ambition in the transfers otherwise a team with deeper pockets is going to buy Kulusevski and Levy is going to buy 5 weak players with that money.

To sum up the game, 1) Son was shit 2) Spurs were knackered 3) Liverpool were fit

From a manager who doesn't 6:29 believe in crossing that's why you should alter the way you play something spurs could run

Spurs' result today came from the poor right-hand side of defence, the other side did very well generally against a tough opposition. also, Son has been terrible and is getting away with shocking performances, pressing poor, finishing poor, lost a yard, touch is poor, decision making is poor, slows the game down. look at where Dragusin is in each of the goals? Out of position constantly

Without a striker ? Gakpo is not a striker ?
@theblahofblah168116 күн бұрын
Nah, though he has played St, Gakpo is a Left Wing Forward.

@ I see . well they don’t need a striker really . their forwards can hold up balls and they play with such high intensity and qualities at the final third Why do we need a video for this ??

@@WinLwinOo-v9b Liverpool didn't play with an out and out striker. Nunez is a striker but didn't play. Gakpo, Diaz, Salah are all wingers and were put up top. This was a good video that demonstrated how Liverpool utilised moves and channels to make 6 goals despite not having a striker. Diaz dropped away from the centre backs as a false 9. Szobo and Mac were making deep runs.. This is horrible for the Spurs CBs. They had no one to mark but had to deal with these smart, relentless runs from deep featuring the aforementioned players. That's what Liverpool did. Showing what Liverpool did is the purpose of the video and it's title.
