I think we should stop adoring this a$$ of a player and let him go in January Here is my solution, tell him that if he wants to join them, they should sign him now or he will be forced out of the club Sign a central back and move Gomez to RB along with Bradley He will regret it we know and he will no longer be needed in our club One thing I know is among the three, he is the easiest to replace... Agree that liverpool shouldn't have let this situation happen, but for someone we call scouser to be this ungrateful, it's so much embarrassing from Trent. We should inform him now and if he can't sign, let him leave now!! We won't die, we gave survived Coutinho, Suarez, Torres, Mane and others time, Trent can go and be booed daily, or stay and be seen as a great in Luverpool , it's his choice.

Its sad to see our fanbase fall so EASILY for the same old tactics Real Madrid have been using for decades. Our fans claim players should be paid what they are owed and then turn around and blame Trent for any rumors and claim HE is going to derail our season. Look at this comment section itself. Why does our fanbase just fall apart whenever there's outside pressure about negotiations? Are we so insecure that we can't believe in the club & ourselves regardless of whether there is outside noise or not? Take into account the fact England actively hates Liverpool as a club and a city, and it seems we should be even more resolute in standing behind our own, whether we are from Merseyside or not. Otherwise we'd all just be puppets on a string, not allowed to enjoy our season of STOMPING on all comers thus far, constantly allowing them to hound us about more BS that we have no control over

But here you are, DEMANDING that the player deliver public statements on private info that will affect his negotiations, all because of what Real Madrid say, not the club the man plays for. Their mouthpieces kick up a fuss about Trent leaving, teasing contract offers & talking about alleged talks from their end & push it & push it until everyone in England is talking about it (which they will, because they can't stand Liverpool and will latch on to the first negative about the club.) And then our fans, who seemingly can't handle negativity, gaslighting, or lies from other fans, will decide to let everyone in England determine how we feel about our players, and turn on our own player, a homegrown at that. Thus we claim "I don't want a player like that at our club" and Real Madrid make off with the unsettled player, laughing all the way home, all based off of rumors and the stress of contract negotiations. The Trent saga has showed the true colours of Liverpool fans. Trent owes Liverpool fans nothing. He has won every possible title which can be won for Liverpool. I've seen fans who say that him and his brother (agent) are money hungry r*ts, that he's obliged to stay loyal to Liverpool and that he should look up to Stevie G when it comes to true loyalty. Liverpool fans had no problem flooding comment sections and spreading rumors about Zubimendi, trying to steal him away from his boyhood club. Some fans forget that Stevie G tried to make a Move to Chelsea happen twice but him and his family in Liverpool literally received death threats. Since 2010, Madrid has won 6 UCL titles and the La Liga 5 times. Since then Liverpool won the UCL and Premier League once. VVD's contract not sorted out, Salah has to beg for a contract and Konate is injured. It takes only not extending the contract of 3 players to immediately cause a disruption in this team. FSG is not willing to extend the senior contracts. Meanwhile Perez is working on Galacticos 3.0, Trent is offered the position and guidance under the mentorship of 6x UCL winner Carvajal, he gets to live in the sun and plays with a squad which has covered nearly every position for the coming years whilst he can learn Spanish with another English teammate. Just because Liverpool finally won in 15 years against Madrid, do well in a league where the usual farmers finally fell on their face and they challenge for all competitions with a irreplacable 32 year old possible Ballon D'or winner who has to almost crawl for a new contract, it doesn't mean that this level is what we will see for the coming years. Especially when that 32 year old saved you many times from point loss and is responsible for over 67% of Liverpool's goals. Liverpool is a great and a big club but the fact remains that Madrid is still the bigger and greater club and they've shown consistently throughout the years, that winning trophies is not an expectation, its an obligation.

Negotiate hard, don't settle for < X, but ... try to get him out before it becomes a problem that derails our title challenge. If Trent would prefer to stay at LIV , all things monetary being close to equal it's a different matter. RM can't offer TAA silly money. They have their own dressing room , CL PSR, and salary structure to deal with. As long as the RM offer to TAA isn't so large that it would blow up LIV salary structure , then get that deal done ffs. I'm a Real Madrid fan. From our perspective we're offering Liverpool money for Trent in the winter transfer mostly for 3 reasons: 1. We want to show to Trent we're serious about signing him. 2. Getting him earlier would actually be very useful from the sporting perspective and the value he could add this season. 3. We want to maintain good relationships with Liverpool hierarchy. Yes, we're going to jump at a market opportunity that's good for us, but if we can propose a solution that works better for all parties - that's great. Also, I want to add that this sort of antagonism from Liverpool fanbase is kind of surprising. Among Real Madrid fans Liverpool is one of the clubs we respect the most. If not THE club that we respect the most. We despise Manchester City because of Guardiola, because of 115, because a lot of things, but when it comes to Liverpool it's nothing but respect. Also, the values of our club aren't that far off - we are a fan owned club. We're not bankrolled by any corporation or billionaire, or any state or anything like that. We spend within our means and we're a community organization that's owned by the fans and controlled by the fans.

totally agree. even last year when we met in cl, Liverpool honored Amancio's passing at Anfield and to reciprocate the gesture Real played you'll never walk alone at the Bernabeu. There was always respect between the clubs and fans. This kind of video and rant is surprising. It was Liverpool who let the contract run down. Real of course interested and even offered to pay some money for someone who is free in 6 months. Thats how football clubs work. If this annoys you then be this annoyed when Liverpool signs a player too. This is super weird logic. Football clubs are signing players from other clubs. How dare they. Don't mind him leaving. He's won absolutely everything and delivered some wonderful memories. I want Liverpool to make a decision that will cause the least amount of disruption to this season and the squad. I'm really confident in liverpools back room management to find a replacement who may arguably make this team even better. They might become more defensively sound and the❤ creativity will come in a different way ie no longer balls whipped from deep but balls whipped from the line as an overlapping run. Bradley showed glimpses of how influential that can be. Aside from Liverpool not getting the full transfer value of selling trent, they're in a win win position here. Also don't think taa can represent madrid in the champions league if he leaves in Jan which is great in case we come up against them in the latter stages. Next season if we play madrid in the cl, I'd love to see vvd absolutely put him in his place like agger did to Torres. A little reminder of grit v royalty.

Here is the think i dont remember but i read somewhere, about these liverpools supporters who have been supporting the club since 70's , they said i think in the 87 season when Ian Rush left , people thought oh no what are we going to do etc , stepped up barnes and other after that and next season, we had arguably the greatest english side ever , what they concluded that great players signed for this club , great players left this club , things will be like this , but only thing that matters is the silverware this club wins , so if trent is not 100% committed to the club then fair enough leave , i think now it has come to the point where he has to make a decision quickly , we are in a great position in terms of league , and last thing Trent would want is his performance to drop and Arne won't allow that as we have seen

I think it is about how Trent position. Under Slot, he has to defend more and not create much as under Klopp who used fullbacks more as 10s, I mean as the core creative outlet. Slot plays with 10 and fullbacks defend more than create. He wants to be among the greats and I think with Madrid PR, he will be in team of the year even with 5 assist. LET HIM GO.
@willandrew80315 күн бұрын
completely agree, if Trent wants to go then let him go. At Madrid he wont go down as a legend of the game as he wants to he probably wont be remembered as highly by Madrid fans as Carvajal was. If he stays at Liverpool he will become a prem great and possible best prem RB of all time. At madrid he'll be another player.

What are the odds this whole contract saga for all three players is a publicity stunt? Because everyday that goes by that no contracts are signed is another day liverpool makes front page news which is just free PR.I know it's highly unlikely but everyone at liverpool seems awfully relaxed about this whole situation and they are no fools that would do anything that would damage the clubs image. Speaking a lot of sense. I love TAA but much like you there are times when I've seen him not run, not track back, leave the player he's supposed to be marking, not jump at the far post when a player is behind him and think ... hmm as a right back. We could upgrade him quite easily. He does however give us something no other right back can and thats local love for the club. But thats not always enough.

Once you have a real big idea/thought/plan and you don't go for it, it will hunt you forever.. That you didn't go for it, or it didn't happen or you didn't push enough to accomplish it.. etc. If he REALLY have he idea to leave, he should just go because the whole situation will affect him at least for couple of years especially when you have some people around you - at least - talking/reminding you about it. The big difference is; If you don't go for it.. Are you smart enough to control yourself and your performance during the upcoming years to perform at the highest level while everyone is putting their trust in you to give a 100% effort in your profession?! That's my honest and humble opinion about the whole situation however he stay or leave the club, and it comes from personal experience as a filmmaker who had almost the same situation in the past.

My issue isnt necessarily a Trent issue, its a club progression one. In recent times we have failed to press home our advantage and capitalise on our successes. We always seem to do things on a shoe string, holding us back from becoming a multi title winning team and cementing our position year on year and challenging the likes of R Madrid as the 'best in the world' instead of being a feeder into theirs or Barca's continued success whilst we have to come back again. Lets hope its not a case of standing still whilst others progress again, and TAA, if he goes, then so be it

That comment about “I’ve signed lots of contracts and they’ve never been public, this one won’t be either” is agent talk. He hasn’t come up with that himself. This is prepping talk to buy time and space from the fans as he slowly does them over. It’s been on the cards for a while. Big time Charlie who swans around F1 in all white is getting his move, let it happen. He’s following the path of a lad from Birmingham City, not Liverpool. That’s the sad thing about it.

“The competition that we feel with Real Madrid.” There is no competition, Real Madrid beat you 7 times in the last decade, every time in the knockout stage eliminating you from the Champions League, including 2 finals. You beat them once this year in the group stage where it doesn’t really matter, when they were at their very lowest also losing to both Milan and Lille. They’ve won 6 Champions Leagues also in the last decade, you’ve won 1. No competition whatsoever.

I would like for Trent to stay! If he goes to Madrid, Jude will always be the principal English player. I think we agree that he will not be afforded the opportunity to experiment with his position. I think he’d be a right back at Madrid which will limit is on field possibilities, particularly the ones that seem to be his objectives. Also, have held in my mind the 3 contracts being allowed to run down have to do with doubt about the Slot era. Those doubts, so far, have been lifted. I won’t resent Trent if he goes, but I bet he’ll regret it! I don’t like the idea of him going in January for our title hopes.

As a local lad there’s no way I’d do it but everyone is different and I think we only know half the story. I actually think he’ll be found out in Spain if he goes, a lot of talented wingers over there who will be encouraged to get at him, expose his defensive frailties. Also, I think it’ll be a lifestyle decision too, the UK is dying, anyone with half a brain cell can see it. Even these millionaire footballers are seeing the decay of the UK, they still have to drive the same roads etc, they’ll have noticed.

@DazDiablo5 күн бұрын
Between Calvin Ramsay and Connor Bradley I think we can let him go in the summer and have enough cover to stay fighting at the top table. Not to mention when he does have a lapse in defense is usually falling asleep at the back post and letting his marker go. Vini in the 2nd ucl final against Madrid jumps out but I know there's been more. If he jogs at real Madrid the press there will slaughter him. Ppl think the UK media is harsh. Spanish media is brutal, and if you lose the fans, you're a dead man walking. Gareth Bale found out.

Well the reason why Madrid want him now is very obvious. Carvajal is out for the season and Vasquez has had injury issues this season and is on his way out too
@dominicellis61856 күн бұрын
You touched on it definitely but I think what was missing from your conclusion is that we don't know where his head is at at all. It's feasible that he only wants to play for Liverpool, but his "team" are doing some funky games with FSG, or rather, FSG are doing that to them because "moneyball". That would explain why it's ALL 3 of them. I imagine it could be like Arne Slot: not focusing on the contract and just focusing on football, hence the "shush". Obviously we don't know but if he leaves it'll be the biggest mistake of his life. He has the talent to become a galactico for sure, but it would take peak Messi to become a legend at Madrid in the way he could at LFC. Happy new year guys much love

Plus I for one would hate his guts. Might not be rational but football isn't rational. I'll either love him here or hate him wearing white, especially after the beef we've had with city. I'm sure many other fans will feel the same way, and scousers don't forget. He'll be looking at Michael Owen. We love like no one else, but that's a privilege above other clubs and you need to earn it

I wonder if he only wants to stay if Salah and Van Dijk stay? Because if those two leave, we'll be so much weaker than we are now. I'm trying to not vent my feelings because they're dark. 🤣🤣 Diaz will have him on toast in Champion's League...

One question that isn't asked much is how the board allowed themselves to be in this position. 3 of their best players in the last 6 months of their contract. I'll give you a pass for last year, since Klopp announced he was leaving. But we only came to know of that around December/November? Could've put the tabled the contracts in the summer. But they all should have been given an extension/bumper deals, before this. Look at Cole Palmer, start of this year he signed a new contract (increased wages) and another year. Their most valuable asset tied down for almost a decade. This whole FSG model is their downfall, sure the club is ran well, but with Diaz rumoured to be on £55,000 p/w whilst you've got the likes of Rashford of 200K-300K p/w it puts things into perspective from a players point of view. We've got Salah, already a Liverpool legend, yet again, we're dossing around when it comes to renewing his contract, happened last time. Same with Virgil. I understand the clubs a business and will look for value. If Trent is demanding (extreme example) £100m over a 4 year contract, we could get a RB for £50m and play them say £15m over 4 years. We "net" £35m there. At this point, it's really grating. Liverpool + money. If it's not contracts, it's "we can't find value in the market" or "demands are too high".

If you take football out of the picture, you would encourage a young man approaching his prime to experience life out with his home environment in order to help him flourish. Why should we expect anything different for someone who chooses to play football for a living? I'd simply say good luck and thank you for the fun you've given us. Perhaps I'd warn him that sometimes the grass isn't greener but he has to make this decision himself. Life is short, he doesn't have a young family to consider so now is the best time to move.

In Real Madrid, Trent will maybe have to do proper defensive work against 2 teams. The rest of the time, he'll do what he is best at. Sun is shining most of the year, and his bank account will grow a whole lot bigger a whole lot faster.

We need to let this topic go. He gave his commitment that he would not allow his contract negotiations with Liverpool play out in public. He’s honored that. Papers will write what they write. Additionally, he’s giving this club a whole year to sort this out. That’s pretty ridiculous if you think about it. Next if he really said he wanted to go to Madrid this early then, yeah Liverpool isn’t going to sell him now. Because Madrid would come in on NYE and offer us Pennies because the amount of money if they win the league and the Champions League then the payoff is massive. Why on earth would you ever weaken yourself with a potentially huge payout.

I think you missed the main thing, if Trent goes on a free, his Liverpool legacy will be less. He will be less loved like McManaman. He clearly wants to go, if he can go in January and we get $50 million for him then he can go to Real Madrid with a clear conscience. If we think he is still performing and he puts in a bit more effort and helps to win trophies this year. Then for the club we are better off keeping him. I think it is Trent's belief he will be more loved if we get some reasonable money for him and we win the league without him. Of we can't replace him, i don't see him being sold.

I often ask myself, are we a rich enough club to have the best player in the world in any position? I think the answer historically is no, we are in the era of FFP and tbh I don’t think paying Trent say 300k a week is worth it to our club. I also honestly believe part of our success this year is the impact of other clubs not making signings because of the City court case and the rest of league wanting to see where they go next. All that said, I’ll be gutted to see him go but that life and we’ve always moved on and won things. I’m a little surprised at people being surprised that Real might make an offer this month, I literally said they would to my pals as soon as they told Liverpool before the game we played against them that they would be making him an offer in January.

LFC will survive just fine if TAA wants to leave...Bradley will do just fine as our main RB (with his youthfull all out offence/defence he needs to learn to pick his spots a little better to avoid in-game fatigue which can lead to injuries)...we would also be prudent to get another RB with first team experience (preferably EPL experience)...btw if TAA's decision is to leave Bradley must become our first choice RB...TAA can be a sub until the end of the year if he doesn't leave in January.
