Taking this snow day to finish this one up.
Twist: Persephone's just asking about how long it's going to take him to install a second elevator.

Notes:
- Pretty standard as far as shots go, was directionless for a bit since what was in my head was the feeling of actions instead of the framing of them - if that makes sense. In the end tried to shift the camera in accordance to who was driving the conversation, but wasn't very consistent with that for composition/flow sake - something to work on?
- Also need to decide how to exaggerate Hades, wanted him to be chunky, but also taller, but also kinda buff, but not really, could pass as someone's dad. Pick something and stick with it next time.
- Colour turned out a lot less janky than expected (apologies for that yellow-purple combo tho)
- Me at first: wooo colour symbolism
- Me now: does this even make sense resists dumping garbled explanation no one wants

I very much love the color contrast between Hades and Persephone! How Hades is red with a type of spite and rage he holds while Persephone is a dull, unhappy, green like someone who used to be vibrant and splendid that dimmed and grew less overtime. How it contrast each other. Art and theme is amazing as usual!!!! You’re doing great!

I like to think that the thing they’re coming to terms with is Impermanence-the fact that _everything_ will eventually change. Not even the deathless gods can escape this Fate, because some day the sun itself will burn out. Persephone, as the goddess of spring, is always coming face to face with the cycles of life and death in nature and so is more ready to accept that reality with grace. Hades on the other hand rejects it. In fact you could say that Hadestown itself is an edifice to his existential anxiety, his futile attempt to build something permanent in this impermanent world . And even though he knows that in the end it’s pointless, he can’t bring himself to let go of it. He’s as trapped as anyone else in Hadestown

Can we all just appreciate 3:07... It's such a beautiful contrast to how she was the whole song, in her dull green coloring showing just how tired she is of everything... It's being up above, giving spring and bringing the earth back to life that gives her life, that gives her color. Then we get to 3:09, with Hades who instead of appreciating the beauty, the life she gives off, is turning back into the darkness, as if turning away from the sunlight which, I think shows his fears... He knows that being above gives Persephone happiness, he knows just how much she loves the world above, and she fears that that love for the earth would cause her to leave him forever and stay at the surface, which also causes him to keep her from leaving Hadestown on time and coming for her earlier than what was planned, as referenced on Living it up on top and Way Down Hadestown.

God, I love How Long so much. I was waiting for a quality version of it (Bootlegs of 2017 have floated around here and there) with Patrick and Amber since I first found Hadestown years ago, lol. My favorite thing about the song is how Persephone snaps at Hades, but immediately softens. You really captured that in this. The design you envisioned for Hadestown is also really cool looking. The clock hanging town almost akin to a chandelier is really striking, along with the hot color that really describes the heat that is within Hadestown. Just an A++ animatic overall.

WOW... WOW im a half a year late but i have... CHILLS. The BODY language of these two is what gets me. How persephone is passionate. From the GET go, when she says "Hades my husband... Hades my life" she REACHES out to him, with both hands, and he stands there, unreceptive. He TOWERS over her the entire time, getting even taller with exagerated angles as the song goes on. This shit took my breath away... wow.
